Do any of you know of a good, reputable seamstress to alter wedding gowns and BM gowns? Hoping to find one in the area (I live in Scarsdale/close to Hartsdale) rather than use a seamstress on LI
The lady I was going to use when my gown comes in from Netbride has RETIRED and is moving to Florida next month!

i have not a clue as my mom has always been my seamstress...
i can ask around, see if anyone knows someone, but i have no one personally to recommend, sorry!

Sorry, I haven't lived there that long, and have never really needed a seamstress. My friend has brought Bm dresses to the bridal shop on Gramatan in Fleetwood. Amelia's, I think its called. She has said the staff isn't the nicest, but the seamstress was good.

Thanks for the help, hey at least its a start and I can give them a call and see what they say. I do know exactly where that is, actually .. my grandmother used to live right around the corner from there

I almost forgot- there is a place in Mamroneck that carries bridal dresses from ( my friend bought hers there) - call them bridal store in mamaroneck Not sure if they do alterations but try them to.

why don't you try calling Fontana's in Scarsdale and see if they can recommend anyone to you?
