brides with a DJ

Hello!
I am having a DJ for the reception, and probably a pianist for the ceremony. What about the cocktail hour? UGG. What are you brides who have DJs for the reception doing for that? TIA

our CH will be held outdoors at Crest Hollow Country Club, so I was told that loud music was forbidden. I figured we could do w/out the music since it's a nice time for guests to mingle, and will probably just enjoy the outdoor scenery

i actually had christmas carolers...but i dont think that'll work for your august wedding lol.

The DJ threw the music for the cocktail hour in with our package. I think they just play some CD that has elevator music on it. Also, so many people never realize if there was music at the cocktail hour or not.

I originally was going to have a piano player and possibly a flute or sax player for the CH, but b/c I want everything else for my wedding, I had to cut them out. I am just having the DJ play a cd/background music. It was included in the basic package anyway.

Most weddings I've been to have just had a cd playing or nothing at all and even though it would be really nice/sounds nice to have live music, if it's not in your budget don't stress! good luck!
