I'm thinking of elbow length, but not sure if that fits with a halter dress or not!

My first dress was a halter and I was going to do elbow length...I think that would be fine...

My dress was a halter and my veil was shorter in front and graduated down to about my waist in the back. Don't know what style you call that! But I loved it. I love halter top dresses. Post a picture of your dress for us!!!

That sounds very pretty!! Do you have a picture?
This is my dress - none of the pictures I have seen with it have a veil at all!!
I'm also wearing my hair down, which may have an impact.
Ooooh, that's a pretty dress! I wore my hair half-up, half down. I also wore a cathedral veil in the church. You can see part of the veil (the one that I left on all night) in these pictures....

Unfortunately I don't have any pictures without the veil. Nobody came with me to the salon when I got my hair trial done, and on the day of the wedding I went by myself to the salon. I felt like such a jerk driving home all by myself with the veil on! But anyway, she basically just pulled the sides of my hair up and pinned it to the top back part of my head. She curled some ends with the curling iron. Very simple! I have curly hair so it didn't take much to do that hairstyle.
