What color are your BM dresses?? And are you getting ivory shirts for all the GM AND your FH or just your FH?? And does all this really matter??

all the guys shirts were white. Contrary to what I've heard - it didn't matter one bit (I debated this one too).
Seemed silly for Al to have an ivory shirt and everyone else have white. Or if all the guys were in ivory, what about the dads (moms' dresses wouldn't have coordinated with that). Also I was concerned that when Al was in pictures with others wearing white shirts - his would appear dingy.
I just kept them all white, and it looked great. I especially liked the contrast with Al's ivory vest & tie.

you don't need to worry about it. Do whichever you feel comfortable with.
Both the bridal salon and the tux shop recommended ivory shirts for all the men. They both said that no one's attire should look brighter than the bride's, but should compliment it. DH wore an ivory shirt, as did the GM and fathers and IT looked great.
However, I don't think that anyone would have noticed if the guys wore stark white...BUT, I would have, and I did not want them in white. JMO.
Do whatever makes you happiest...it's your day.

My dress was a pretty deep ivory and it had almost a vanilla cast to it. My girls wore bordeaux, which is just like claret. I actually liked the contrast of DH's ivory cravat and white shirt...but to be honest, the white is not that noticeable in pictures. And it I didn't think it looked like a 'stark' contrast at all. (I also contemplated ivory shirts)

My dress was also not stark white, it was called natural. All the men, including my husband, wore white. No one noticed the difference, and it looks fine in photos.

My girls are wearing Periwinkle and only my FI will be wearing an Ivory shirt, vest and tie. But the vest has some white it. If I can find a pic. I'll post it for you. My GM's are wearing white shirts and a charcoal/silverish vest and tie. It sounds like alot of different colors going on, but it really looks nice.

Paul and GMs will be wearing traditional black and whites.
My dress is diamond white and girls are in beigey gold. My opinion better to keep it simple than to try and match everyone up.

FH and GM are wearing ivory shirts. Fh will have an ivory vest and GM will have chardonnay( mix between champagne and gold).
MOH is in gold and BM are in champagne
My dress is natural white ( not white-white but not true ivory. I guess in between.)

I wore a light ivory dress and was told to have DH's shirt match, which he did, but I honestly don't think it matters, as long as your gown isn't too dark.

I'm wearing ivory and FH will be wearing a white shirt with an ivory tie (tails) and my bm's are wearing gold and the gm's are wearing a white shirt with a gold winsdor tie (cut-a-way)

My BM's are wearing Cranberryish/Wine, with my MOH and FG's in Champagne. I have not even thought of putting the guys in ivory shirts... didn't even dawn on me! I was just going to have them in white with matching ties and vests to the girls dresses...

Ivory Dress for me Ivory vest for FH My MOh is wearing periwinkle. We have not decided on GM yet but we are contemplating silver for them.

I'm not sure yet. My dress is 'Pearl' - not quite ivory, but not white. More like diamond white. I thought I'd put the guys in white, but I have to think about it. I'd love to see more pics of other brides and grooms together!

I wore ivory, BM wore bordeaux (wine), DH and GM all wore ivory shirts. DH wore ivory tie and wine vest. All GM wore wine vests and ties. I wanted DH to wear ivory shirt - only request I made of his and GM's attire. I heard from past brides it doesn't matter but ivory was one of the main colors I used at my wedding so I wanted his attire to match (I used very little white and non on person.)
Both my dress and his shirt pretty much looked whit ein person and in pictures except if you put true whit enext to it..then you can see the contrast.
