brides with ring bearers

ok so i was told not to tie our actual rings to the pillow, but to use fake ones and just have the best man hold on to them as is traditional. what is everyone doing?

We are having two ring bearers who will be 6 & 7 years old for our wedding. I'm not doing pillows, but instead am using the silver rose ring box (top of rose opens ups to hold ring) and I am putting the real rings in them. The roses will not be given to the ring bearers until the absolute last second as the start their walk down the aisle. You can hold the rose upside down and open with the ring in it and it won't fall out, so I feel safe about it and that I don't have to worry.
