brides...a little advice

brides...a little advice

when your bp is planning your shower (and you will know when they will be planning it) stay the feck out of it!!! yes this is harsch and y'all can flame away - but from a bp perspective its not cute and funny when the bride finds out about her 'surprise' shower and calls you to get all the details. yes, this is the evil beast herself. now that she knows she thinks its ok to get all the details and she really thinks she being cute. well, its not! its frustrating and annoying and makes me want to throw the towel in. just stay out of it, unless you want to be actively involved, which is ok, so long as those involved know that it is not a surprise shower.

flame away!!!

The bride shouldn't be involved anyway! It's a party thrown for HER My friends shower is coming up and she wants to know nothing about it.. thats how I feel it should be. JMO though... Sorry you're having such a hard time. Chin Up!!!

thanks girls!! normally i am not this negative, but today, man, she set me right over the edge. she has major control issues and b/c she couldn't just come out and say 'i want to plan my shower' she's going in the back door and thinks its cute that she now planned her hair trial for june 4th, day of shower. i know, sh'e a riot, right?

Wow that totally sux. i'm so sorry.

When I was planning my SIL's back in 2001 she wanted to help me plan, shop and decorate. i told her she was out of her mind. We had to tell her when it was cause she is from syracuse so we needed her on long island.

i know what u mean by a bad day. mine diffrent though, i'm just hungover and can't wait to get out of here. i got a lil out of hand with the beers last night

try not to worry (i know easier said than done), everything will work out in the end. just tell her once and for all. your not getting any details.

good luck reception twin

Oh I am so so so sorry for you. If there is a way I would change the date to the day before or the day after if that is at all possible to make her feel retarted.

I hate that I know when my friends and family were planning my baby shower I was trying to figure out things but I really didn't want to know I would ask some questions here and there jsut t o be a pain in the booty but didn't want to know anything I wanted to be suprised and I was

Hope things work out for you

invites already went out and restaurant is already booked so changing the date is not an option. i'm choosing to ignore the nonsensical ravings of the lunatic until the shower, it will save my sanity - but thanks your thoughts are appreciated!

Wow...She is still at it. Sorry for you.

It kind of reminds me of my friend who I love dearly BUT she was telling us (BP) what favors to buy her and where we should have her shower. Ok I understand you want to help but she should be worrying about her wedding not her shower. I told her that in a nice way. You have enough stress with planning a wedding. Your shower you should be relaxing. Just my opinion. Good luck!

Man, she really is a biocth. Ya know, I'd have half a mind of canceling the damn thing and THEN she'll be real surprised! I don't want to know, that's the whole point.

yep, evil beast strikes again!! this won't stop until june 5th...oy, thats like forever. and she tells me that she's going to drop it w/me, but then she turns around and starts talking about it with the other members of the bp. this does not mean she is dropping it!!
