Bridesmaid Backing out via email!so p**sed!

So FH's cousin and one of my best friends just emailed me to tell me she cant be a BM because her and her family are moving in from Orlando to another part of Florida in August!!! I am so mad!! Not only did she tell me this via email but she made sure to emphasize that 'she knows we will be upset and she will try her hardest to be at the wedding but there is no guarantees and to not be mad at her!' This is after WE (me and FH) paid for her dress 3 months ago!!! I asked her to be a BM over a year ago and I always had the sneaking suspicion that she would pull something like this! Mainly she has issues with money (which is why we bought her dress) and we told her all she had to worry about was getting here and she cant even do that! And to email me and tell me she didnt want to stress me out is insane

She is the 3rd person to back out of the party! First it was FH's aunt's boyfriend and his son (because the aunt and boyfriend broke up) and now this!!! I cant believe how disappointing everyone is!!! SAD!!!And what makes me even more hurt is that this friend is the sister of my best friend who died from cancer and we grew closer since then and for her and her family (because they might not make it either) is just awful!!!!

we recently lost a BM too.... with no conversation! Not even an email! NO WORRIES HER LOSS!!!!

Ugh...That's a terrible thing to go through...You have enough stress! It's sad that weddings are supposed to be this beautiful thing but it sure brings out the ugly in some ppl. You deserve better!

sometimes you expect more from some people but weddings definitely bring out everyone's real feelings

That's so wrong she should have called you...ya people suck sonbad! We had my friend drop out due to money issues...it def sucks and hurts but it will work out in our benefit! No worries Hun it will be ok

OMG! I'm so sorry. That's really awful. I can really realted to family really just not stepping up. Especially after you bought her dress! I can't believe it! I'm sorry you are going through this!

I kno you are mad, but personally I'd choose this over her b*tching about how she has no money, then starting a fight with you the day before the bachelorette party(or RD or shower or wedding anything she was supposed to be at), which she dosen't end up going to and dosent pay a dime for....then she apologizes and wants to be in your wedding again (my story) ....its better to find out sooner than later, atleast she didn't cause too much drama about it and miss anything important or tell you a month before she can't afford the airfare! It's still sh*tty, but atleast now you know and have time to prepare! good luck!

Thanks for all ur advice ladies! I haven't written her back yet. She texted me and FH wanting to make sure we read the email! In the email she said she wanted to make sure we don't 'hate' her which I don't. I'm more disappointed than anything else. But u guys are right, its better now than her whining about money and how she can't afford it! One less drama queen from the bunch! so far we've lost one bridesmaid and 2 groomsmen!! I'm glad I have my LIW ladies to see me throught! :):)
