so one of my bridesmaid and i decided it was best for her to step out....which all started from an email where i told her she was driving me nuts.
i am relieved but sad at the same time.
we kept arguing. she is very pushy about her style and what she wanted. But damn it..it is my wedding.
i am pretty laid back..except when people are telling me what they want..not hearing what i want. no matter what i did to try to accomodate her..she wasn't happy.
ugh.
i just needed to vent.
is this that unheard of? kind of asking her to back down? she knew what i was getting at. I am not exactly the most indirect person.

Re: bridesmaid drama
yeah i told her a 5-6 hour affair is not worth killing a 5 year friendship.
we can be friends in everything else..we just can't plan a wedding together.

Re: bridesmaid drama
Actually, I never posted this but a few months ago, I had to ask one of my bridesmaids to back out. Specifically b/c she has 2 children (not custody), long story and she pays child support to them and then i loaned her $160 and she never paid it back and I had to take her to small claims court after her bouncing checks, blowing me off, etc. We eventually became friends again and seh assumed she was in my bridal party. I let that go and said okay. Then, she tells me she is having twins with her boyfriend and I KNOW that she can't afford it. I requested she step down bascially b/c I know she can't afford anything on her own and b/c I did not want any of the girls in my bridal party to get f****ed over b/c of her money situation. If she did it to me, who is to say she would not do it to anybody else.
I know my situation was different than yours but if you did what you felt is right, then there is nothing wrong with it.
HTH!!

WeLL you know what if you cant make time for me then you obviously dont care enough..
I just wantt o tell her to leave to but I am trying to grin and bare it for now...
You did the right thing... You will be less stressed now!!

Re: bridesmaid drama
aw, im very sorry to hear that it had to result to that, but in the long run.....maybe it was better off that way.
i mean if she couldnt see things your way and it is YOUR wedding that she agreed to being a bridemaid...then whatever you wanted whether it be pepto pink frills or neon yellow mini skirt....she should have said OK!!!!
granted, hearing opinions on colors or styles is nice, but the final word is yours and if she cant respect that.....then its better this way!!!
