Bridesmaid dress help!!!

Bridesmaid dress help!!!

Okay -- I THOUGHT I had my dresses picked out for my BM's.. but, now that I look at more & more pictures I am thinking that our venue, time of year, etc should have a tea or cocktail length dress... So... I would like EVERYONE's opinion.

We are getting married June 26, 2010, at the Snapper Inn in Oakdale. The room is a 'pavilion' it has NO windows, no doors, etc. It's an outdoor wedding but in a building. The wedding starts at 4pm, so it's a night time wedding. But the venue is very casual, as FH and I are as well.

WHICH DRESS DO YOU THINK SUITS OUR DAY/TIME OF YEAR/VENUE better?

Right now, the long dress is our choice, it's what I thought I loved...

TIA

I like the first one as well with the color selection. They will go well with my flowers. One of my BM's, actually my MOH kept saying she likes floor length, but I dont know? I really dont think it fit's our 'theme' etc... I have to stop being so 'nice' and make the decision for MY wedding.. but it's hard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You could always have your MOH in the floor length one (dress #2) and the BM's in dress #3...HTH

ETA: Since the dresses (#2 & #3) are so similar

I was thining about that too.

Do I ask the other girls if they mind? or should it be up to me? I want the MOH to stand out, and I feel like the dress style #2 and #3 she can't unless I do the floor length for her & tea for the others?

I think it's totally your call. I'm getting married two weeks before you (June 5) and my girls are wearing floor length chiffon dresses. I wanted chiffon for the lighter material for the summer, but I wanted floor length because personally I think they're more formal.

Being a saturday evening, i woulddo the middle dress. All are really nice- but i think long is the best for night time weddings

I think that the first one, the one that you love, would be appropriate. I've never been to the Snapper Inn but a coworker of mine got married there, and there's tons of casual photos, like their feet dipped in the water while sitting on the pier, etc. Go for what you love!

I love the first dress, I think it's completely appropriate for a summer evening wedding.

I was a BM recently and wore a long gown and it drove me crazy. It kept getting caught in my heels on the dance floor. It was so annoying, and to make matters worse, in the video you could see that I was fussing with the dress while dancing.

OMG -- does she have the pictures on line? I dont see too many pics from weddings there and would LOVE to see them, if she doesn't mind?

Re: Bridesmaid dress help!!!

I think you should do what YOU want to do. You cant please everyone and you have to accept that now. You are going to get a TON of advice and a TON of people telling you what you SHOULD do BUT you have to do what YOU WANT TO DO. PERIOD! When its your MOH's wedding THEN she can do what she wants. BUT if you like tea length then YOU do tea length!

I did tea length dresses when I had people telling me to do floor length. I was married 3 weeks ago and Im SOOO happy I did it. The girls were happy with them. They were fun and light and it fit the theme, feeling, vibe of my wedding.

Do what makes YOU happy, not them. Theres nice and then theres just TOO nice. This is YOUR wedding and should be how YOU want it not ANYONE else and if they cant accept that then they arent a very good friend, sorry thats JMO.

ETA: LOVE dress #1!

I tried on #1 for a friends wedding who ended up getting the same dress, but in a longer version. I will tell you that it was so comfortable, and as a BM I love it! (I Think this one is Jordan? Hers is Bari Jay though, but the same exact dress). And for that dress, if you chose teal for the dress and mint for the sash, you can switch it for the MOH (mint dress, teal sash). I am totally partial to chiffon dresses--- I just think they are so comfortable and if they want to wear it again they can just get it cut to above the knee by a tailor... That's what I plan on doing!
