I want to start looking at dresses for my bms and was wondering what might be better... should we all go together to diff stores to try stuff on, or should i just go with my sister to a few places first, then go back with the girls if i find anything good? In addition to my sister, i only have 2 other bridesmaids so it's not like we would be a whole entourage or anything anyway... just wondering what you all did

First time- I went w/ MOH and 2 BMs Second one- just MOH
Keep it small...no more than 3. My girls are very agreeable though. (Which makes me wonder why I dont have a dress yet?? )

I think that since there are just 3 girls you can all go. It's nice to see it on more than one girl, but too many can get a little crazy.

I have gone twice so far and only with my MOH I just figure we would find a dress and then have everyone come to see the dress when it was time to order them..

09er crashing....
We all went dress shopping together, I only had 3 girls. I did a bunch of looking online and sent them pics of dresses I liked to get a feel of their styles. Two of my girls didn't live local so we set up a day that worked for us all and then hit a ton of bridal stores. I wanted all the girls there because they were all different body types and I wanted everyone to feel comfortable with the choice. We went out to dinner afterwards, it was a really nice day.

I'd say you can go with three girls. I brought my two sisters (MOH's) and my FSIL (BM) for the first time. They narrowed it down to two dresses, and then I took a vote from the other girls.

i made my bridesmaid brunch!! and we went to the dress shop we found the dress and the we came back home for WINE!

I would suggest either picking one or two styles, but not letting them run amok!
I've been a bridesmaid a ton, and I must say the easiest times have been where the bride just picks the dress she wants, and we all go and try it on together (even if it's different top & bottom combos in the same color). It was a piece of cake even with like 6 girls.
The one disastrous time I went it was to a Davids Bridal and the bride had no idea what she wanted and we were there for HOURS.
I just picked the dress, and we're all going together to try it on - I've learned!!!

When I went BM dress shopping for the first time I went with just my girlfriend. It's better when you keep it small because then you get too many opinions.

I actually went on my own first because I really didn't know exactly what I wanted. I didn't want all of my girls to come with me and look through a bunch of dresses and recommend differnt things(they all have very differnt taste). I thought that it would be too confusing. I went on my own and picked out 4 or 5 dresses that I liked- I actually tried on all of them as well to make sure that I liked them. Then I brought my girls in, let them voice their opinions and try everything on. I think it worked well. Everyone liked the dress and it was a very organized experience.
