Hi all, It's my first post here, I've been checking in for awhile. You have all been super helpful! What is the usual time needed for ordering bridesmaid dresses? The wedding is in October and we haven't started shopping yet. I thought I read recently that 5 or 6 months is normal, is that true? Thanks in advance!

I had my girls order their dresses in December and my wedding in July

yeah that's about right. We ordered the girls' dresses at the end of November (6 months before) and they arrived in January. You can start searching for styles now that you like but I would wait to order.

my wedding is two days before yours, and my girls will be ordering the dresses on march 5th.

I am getting married 1 week after you, and the lady at the store said all the orders should be in by mid-April, so that's 6 months. Find it soon so all your girls can get measured! hope that helps.

I ordered dresses today, and expected arrival is early June. The way I see it, they are right on time!
