how soon before the wedding did you pick and and ask the girls to order their dresses????

i am ordering them with the girls this week and my wedding in just under 7 months. the store said between 4-5, but i get anxious. haha

I narrowed the dresses down to 2 and we're going on 9/14 to have the girls try them on/order. I was told 9 months is enough time, but you never know- I wanted to give myself around 12 months that way the girls have time for their fittings and god forbid something happens with the order.

We ordered them 7 months before the wedding. They took about 3 months to come in, which is amazing!

We picked them out 11 months before the wedding and I asked them all to have them ordered by around the 7 month mark. It's only supposed to take about 3 months but I just wanted to make sure I left plenty of time so I wouldn't be anxious.

I picked mine out around the 10 month mark-getting the girls there to get measured is the hardest part! lol One is trying to get pregnant so they told us to come back in October.

I'm going to go in December/January. My FSIL is still in college and will be home on break then and I want her to be a part of it. If we do it do it then we'd have to wait do here to come home on Spring Break and I'm too much of an OCD planner to wait and only have a one week window!

I picked the dress I wanted in July and asked that everybody go to the store and get sized and order them by end of August (so 10 months out, but I'm paranoid about people waiting until the last possible SECOND to order). Some of my girls still haven't gone yet, so I'll be reaching out again in a week or so to gently push them.

We ordered them about 11 months out because they had a trunk show and I liked the dresses. My girls were able to get some money off of the dress which was good.

We are going to look this month actually, since my MoH will be up visiting NY. So we are looking 10 months out, and hopefully deciding too. Once we decide the girls will be measured. Since we are going with David's Bridal I am giving my Girls until Jan to order this way there will still be 7 months to get the dress in and altered. The dresses are available online, and in stores all over, this way even people out of town can order them whenever they get a chance.
