Bridesmaid Dresses

Original post by billandme

Ok, so of course, all of my girls have different body types. I have sent an email out to everyone with different styles to pick from.

Well, they all said they like all the styles and will wear whatever I picked for them. That's fine, but I was looking for more than that.

So maybe you wonderful LI girls can help me. Their sizes range from 2-20. Here are the top two that I like. What one would you like to wear for a bridesmaid dress?

The dresses would be in black

Bridesmaid Dress No. 1

Bridesmaid Dress No. 2

Thanks girls!

Wow! 50/50. I don't know how you are going to decide. I voted for #1 because I am a size 16 and I know that halters look better than strapless on me.

I think the first dress is more flattering for bigger girls.

Why not let each girl pick the style they like? That's why my friend did -- she picked the color and the length and let each girl pick their own style.

I would really like my girls to wear the same dress. I just like that look and they have no problem wearing the same dress either, but thank you for that suggestion!! :) :)

In that case #1. In my experience halter top is much more forgiving on all body types and easier to wear.

i chose #2 because I feel like the low-sitting sash in the middle will work better on your 'fuller figured' girls... it won't cut them off as much as #1 would.

#1 if they're not big chested.

I think #1 would be more flattering.

As a big chested girl I would actually be more comfortable in a strapless than in a halter. In a halter I just bust out from all angles and I don't like where it cuts me off. In that case I would chose the strapless.

Number 2 is reallllly pretty, but if you have a such a wide range of sizes I that #1 would be a more comfy fit for everyone and it will be flattering for all!

I accidently voted 2 but i agree 1 is best for a size 16 and over. I am 14/16 and i would not want to wear the second dress cause my roll would be showing IoI Otherwise they would need a girdle or corset to suck it all in and that is not comfty.

Are you offering little jackets? I hate showing my arms off even though people think i am insane for thinking i look horrible with no sleeves. You may want to offer that for the girls plus with your wedding date you might need them.

VERY pretty dresses ... both nice

My sister tried on dress #1 and it looked great on her. I like them both though. Sorry, I'm no help!
