bridesmaid dresses

how far in advance are you supposed to order them??? my wedding is 10/16/10

Well I don't know when you are supposed to order them but I was going to look at the end of Feb with my BM but now they are telling me they think it might be to early to go so idk now

really??? a year in advance sounds about right...especially if you are just looking to get ideas.

I'm afraid to order them too early. A few of my girls want to lose weight before the wedding and I dont want them to end up with a size thats too big to even be altered!

i would say around 1 year in advance... im all about getting as much stuff done as early as possible

IDK if this helps any of you ladies, but, I ordered my dresses in April 08 and they came in October 08.

I'm sure dress shops vary, but, I think 6 months is the max for a dress to come in. You'll want the dresses to come in 1 to 2 months before your wedding bc they'll need to get altered exactly 1 month before your wedding.
