Bridesmaid Dresses

I have a large bridal party and 4 of my girls can go dress shopping in a few weeks. I saw a dress i really loved at one place, but that is not where I bought my dress. Is it okay to go shopping just for BM dresses? I'm sure it is, but wanted to see if that happened to anyone else.

Also, when I saw the dress I liked they only had one size there for the girls to try on and 2 of my bridesmaids are bigger then that, what do I do? I don't want them to be upset if they can't fit into that size?

Any help would be great!!

Of course you can. There are plenty of people that get their gowns at different stores than the BM dresses.

As for sizing, unfortunately not everyone will always fit into the samples. I had to girls that could get the sample on, but couldn't zip it. So we had to just get an idea of what it would look like.

you can go BM dress shopping anytime you want (you don't necessarily have to do it at the same time you go for your dress). It's just easier sometimes if you can get it all done in one store at the same time.

As far as the sample sizes not being big enough for some of your girls, they can either put it on as best they can and not zip it up in the back, or they can hold it up to the girls and you can get a idea of how it will look from there.

No problem on your dress in a different store. My friend did this. her wedding dress is in Macy's and our BMs dresses are in the Wedding Plaza in Floral Park. No worries on that!

As for the sizes, it stinks but they will try their best to accommodate. When you are at the dress place though, maybe you can ask if they have something that looks similar in a bigger sample size. My other friend had to do this to look at the dresses on all of us and it helped a little bit.

Definitely go whenever and where ever you want! And we did the same thing with my sister. She couldn't zip the sample up, but at least she had it on and we could see what the front looked like!

I bought my gown from one store.. but did not see 1 single bridesmaid dress I liked.

I'm definitely looking elsewhere for bridesmaid dresses.
