Re: bridesmaid dresses
Maybe try looking on Alfred Angelo's site... I don't know Nassau or Queens well but im sure there are bridal places that carry the line.
I was supposed to get one of his BM dresses for my brothers wedding and it was from his seperates line and it was about $120ish.. actually cheaper than another BM dress I had from Davids Bridal.
Also, I agree with Estelles I have a BM dress from there as well.. I'm almost as bad as the movie 27 dresses hahaha

Re: bridesmaid dresses
check out Alexia Designs, I am using them for my girls. If you are doing each girl with a different dress they have a huge selection. Their dresses are like $150 and I absolutely love them they are also in my album in my wedding colors, but there are other options too if you don't like lace.

Re: bridesmaid dresses
Definitely go to Alexandra's Boutique on Austin Street in Forest Hills. They are a great selection fo dresses from tons of designers. Purchased our BM dresses for FSIL's wedding there (Jasmine B2) and in total they came out to $160ish before alterations. The dresses were orginally $190 but because there were 5 of us ordering they took the price down.

Re: bridesmaid dresses
Look for dresses by designers such as Bill Levkoff and Alfred Angelo, then when you find styles you like I would try calling Burton's in Melville they usually have dresses for cheaper or I would try Macys

Re: bridesmaid dresses
Try and look for trunk shows in the area. That might help save or spend on a budget. Also try department stores. They seem to have cute dresses and it's not 'bridal' prices.
