How much time in advance do you need to start the shopping process and then order? Also, do you think that I should go initially to see what styles I like and then bring the girls?

We are ordering ours in Dec or January for my Sept Wedding.. However we all started trying on and looking at dresses in June...

I just picked them this weekend. I took my sister who is not only the most picky, but she has a strange body type, so i knew if she looked good everyone else would look good too. Then after I found something, i emailed all my girls the photo to make sure they all liked it.
I went early because my sister is now away at college and I wanted to find something before she left. Now I want the girls to order soon just in case they go discontinued...i also have a pregnant bridesmaid and she wants to get measured before she really big.

My girls picked out their dresses in the spring (I have them a wide range of dresses - same designer and fabric- and let them choose their own. So they all have different dresses)
But my shop told me we didn't have to order until September or October. So they'll be going back in the next two months to get measured.

I'm ordering mine next month for an October wedding but its cause i know the dress i want for the girls and i want to make sure it doesn't get discontinued.
BM dresses only take a month or so to come in so as long as you give yourself at least three months before your wedding there shouldn't be any problems.

I'm probably going to start looking next month for my wedding in June. I have a pretty good idea of what I'm looking for.
Hoping to have my girls measured and ordered by Thanksgiving- which is 8 months prior to the day.

u might want to look for styles on the internet first, so by the time u go the appointments, u have an idea of what u like

Some dresses can come in as quickly as 6 weeks. Youve got time!

6 months and I went by myself first so no ones opinions would get in the way of what I liked one of my bms is very opinionated and blunt and she would have made the situation difficult!!!!!! She kept telling me to get black bm dresses and I kept telling her black is not one of my colors, that I am going for a romantic vintage feel, not modern
