I don't even know where to begin! I know I want a minty color but that's it. Any good store recommendations? I looked quickly at the salon I got my dress from, but they didn't have any swatches that matched the color I'm looking for.
Also, my wedding is in August and I want short BM dresses but my MOH said the dresses should be long because it's an evening event?! Thoughts?

Our wedding color is a minty/aquamarine! The girls bridesmaids dresses are from BHLDN, which is the bridal arm of anthropologie. My album has a picture of the girls dresses, which are full length chiffon. Check out BHLDN.com! I tried ordering swatches from them online though and they never came lol
I think dress length depends on the atmosphere of your wedding. I think short cocktail dresses are ok for evenings, especially in the summer.

bill levkoff is a great designer...keep in mind that every website you look at online is going to be off in the color. the plum color on the website on some of the dresses looks like bright purple and not dark purple, but the swatch in the store was exactly what I was looking for. Burtons in melville was great and had the best prices i've ever seen from that designer. If the girls find a dress they like, they will show you all of the color options, but they probably have like 6 or 7 shades of green
and my girls all got short dresses. they all picked their own dress in chiffon and got them all in the same color

My light coral color was difficult to find too but when I went to see one in person at DB it was what I was looking for. Material makes such a difference in a color! I was struggling with the short/long also and I went with a strapless chiffon high-low, it's perfect for my look.

As for the length go with what you want! My SIL got married in the summer and we had dresses that came below the knee and it was a formal evening wedding. I ended up ordering BM dresses from Macy's but we went to the Bridal Suite in Centereach and they had a good amount of BM dresses and swatches in the store.

i think when it comes to length you can really do either - since youre august you CAN do short and since its evening you CAN do long. i felt the same way with mine, bc im october so i can do long but its daytime so i can do short (im doing long though). good luck!
