Do you think I should use short length or long length dresses for my bridesmaids?? I am asking because my wedding is in September.

Re: Bridesmaid dresses question
it is still pretty nice that time of year so short dresses would be okay. I would see how the dresses look on your girls and make the decision from there.

I'm getting married in Sept and thinking about tea-length dresses as well. I think it will be fine for that time of year.

Re: Bridesmaid dresses question
You could totally do short dresses in September! Are you having a night wedding?
I'm having the same issue. I'm doing a night wedding in June... June (it's warm so short makes sense, same for you)...but it's in the evening (so long is more formal).

See I am confused!!!!!!!! My ceremony is probably will start at 3 and cocktail hour at 8...so I dunno what to do!

Re: Bridesmaid dresses question
Hmm, that is tough. Well when you see photos of BM dresses do you generally find yourself saying 'I love that' to tea length dresses or long dresses?
go with your gut!

Re: Bridesmaid dresses question
i think it also depends on the dress you wear. if you are getting a super formal ballgown then i would say long dresses for the BMs. If you like more flowy,'informal' dresses than tea length would go better

That's a really good point! I hadn't even thought of that myself.

Re: Bridesmaid dresses question
I like long dresses for evening weddings and shorter dresses for day time weddings. Also, you might want to consider how comfortable your bridesmaids feel with showing their legs. I have a couple that don't feel confortable in short dresses because of this.

Re: Bridesmaid dresses question
both will work... September can still be really hot....have her girls decide or choose the length you think will suit all of them.

You could do either or, but my personal preference is long since its a little more dressy and formal IMO.
