I am having such a hard time as well. I have looked through every designer. No one has the color I have in my mind, and any designers that do have a similar color... the dresses are not what I want.
I feel your pain!

I had a hard time with it as well. I just went with my MOH one night (my sister) and my mother and we went through about 30 different dresses. I narrowed it down to 2 and now I'm having all the girls try on the 2 so I can get an idea. One of my bridesmaids is a plus size and neither of the samples fit her so I'm just going to have to guess and cross my fingers that the dress will look good once it's fitted to her.

Also, try Dessy dresses. The one I'm 90% sure of is an After Six dress and they have a TON of different colors for their dresses. They have like 8 shades of purple for me to choose from. DESSY DRESSES

I am a June wedding and wanted a summer teal like color. jim Hjelm has a color called Jasper/Gunmetal in the fabric satin-faced taffeta. That is what we are doing!!! Its summery and not too bright!!!! here is a pic:

Re: Bridesmaid Dresses ---Ughhh!

You have FM back

The dresses we got are chiffon and they're teal, which is a lighter teal in this fabric. This is what it looks like....

It's kinda muted aquaish
(this isn't the dress.. the dress is in an album)

Re: Bridesmaid Dresses ---Ughhh!

by turquoise do you mean more aqua or more teal?

i'm going for aqua and David's Bridal has a gorgeous color along with Alfred Angelo- both are called Pool.

Bill Levkoff has a color called Glacier but to me it's a little more green.

just curious why you would think Tiffany blue is too bright for June? Is June drab/dreary colors?

Re: Bridesmaid Dresses ---Ughhh!

Hey Ro, sorry. I know bm dresses were such a headache. I spent like over 3 hours in the store btching and worrying over price, how people will feel in it. Ughhh. I would say try to go to Suffolk but Im sure they have the same designers. Im getting mine from Impressions and they had a lot of choices. The girls originally tried on these chiffon dresses and they are under 200, i think 160 something and looked good on everyone. Im gonna check what colors they have for you and let you know

here is impressions site
