bridesmaid dresses - vent

bridesmaid dresses - vent

I don't know what to do - we have found a couple BM dresses that we like (nothing we really loved) but I dont like any of the colors they come it.

Im getting married in august, i love black - but i think its going to be to dark and i'd like some color. But nothing is really striking me.

The other problem is that these places dont have samples of the designers dresses in all the different colors they are made it, to at least get an idea. Thoese swatches are NO help

I dont know what to do. I want to pick a dress and a color so i can do my flowers but im not in love with any.

i know exactly what you mean. how can you decide on a dress and color by looking at a 1 inch square. i cant picture a dress in the whole color. you m ight like the swab but all over might be toooooo much.

ill b honest the bm were liek the hardest part!!! i just recently changed myself!!! ummm u could order swatches they will give you a bigger one. and one place i went to gave me like a huge swatch they happened ot have extra. it is so hard to envision the whole dress in another color. the other thing i did was just looked for other dresses online, of the same designer in the colors i was interested in (same fabric though) if it is shown online that thats the color that will be in the stores. iw oudl then go to the stores and check the alternate dress in that color that i liked. it helped to at least see a whole dress! lol what colors are u leanign towards? maybe i could help.

Just remember that black dresses make ANY flower color pop! We had black bridesmaid dresses and our flowers were cream tulips with green hydrenas and they popped out!!!

My girls got their dresses from Ann Taylor. Black Dupioni Silk. They were gorgeous and it was so simple for them to order. Ann Taylor even steamed the dresses for me the day before the wedding!!

I'm in almost the same situation! There is a Jasmine Trunk show next week 9/7 & 9/8 at My Daughter's Wedding in Great Neck. They have gorgeous long dresses & can switch any material for any style dress. A friend of my just got one of the dresses in the teal color and it looked really really pretty. But, I agree the color thing is so tough!!!!

You can totally get away with doing black...maybe use color in a sash or the bouquets or their jewelry. I totally know what you mean about the colors. I was having a really hard time because I was drawn to the color that I wanted and I had to be like ok...just because the sample is in this color, doesn't mean its the color. Have you gone to places with a pretty big selection? I went to Burton's and Adrienne's (in Islip)...Burton's wasn't a huge selection but I loved the samples that they had. I felt like Adrienne's had a bigger selection. Good luck!

P.S. We are date twins!!!!

Gina I had that problem too. Maybe they have other dresses by the same designer and you can check out those. That's what I did for my BM dress. There was a huge selection of Forever yours dresses so I just looked for the color in the rack.

ETA: Forever Yours has over 50 shades to choose from.

a lot of dresses i have seen in tea length also come in longer lengths...make sure to ask your attendant to look it up....more often than not, they do.
