Bridesmaid Gifts

Bridesmaid Gifts

Would you like it if you were given a tote bag with all spa-type products in it?

Bubble bath
Bath salts
Body cream
Scented candle
Eye Mask
Loofa
Slippers

Any other ideas of things to put in the bags?

There was a good discussion on Brides helping Brides about bridesmaid gifts. Can't find it now. But a few girls bought up how they are sick on DOJ, you get it and can only wear it to match something else. They would prefer something else.

Its a nice idea but I in perticular wouldnt want that I have loads of that kind of stuff. I do like the slippers though. How about a tote that says bridesmaid on it with their name, and some day of essentials. Like if your staying in a hotel get a robe, slippers or sandels and match the sandels to the dresses so they can be cumfy dancing, maybe a compact mirrior with initials on it, Bridesmaid tank to wear while hair and make up is being done and then again at the after party. I would even include a mini shampoo, conditioner, body wash, loofa, deordorant, make up remover, q-tips, face wash, maybe a lotion. Think of things they would need the day of that people forget often.

I would also do DOJ I know people are saying they can never reuse it. But I would def buy them all somthing simple that they would reuse like maybe a tiffany necklace or something from lia sophia they have great jewelry. I would even do a past present and future necklace or journey necklace. Good luck and let me know what you decide to put in the tote.

Whats a past present and future necklace? Sounds interesting. The day of bag is a GREAT idea.

I agree with Kimmy- a nice idea but I have sooooooo much of that stuff! I think DOJ is much more practical.

The Coach wristlet or something like it is definitely a good idea. Its something that you know they'll use!

There was just a discussion how many girls would prefer like a wrislet vs. DOJ. Look over at the brides helping brides section.

Also, a girl over there was having robes embrioded.

I agree, i have enough of that stuff already... the Coach wristlets are definitely a nice idea!! I don't know about the DOJ because i remember my sister got this locket as a bridesmaid for a wedding and she hated it and never ever wore it after that... i'm just worried thats what will happen if i spend a lot of money on the jewelry and its not gonna go to use!

It seems like its really hard to please all people involved when it comes to bm gifts, its either some like what they got or they hate it. Its such a hard thing to decide on

its hard to please everyone. I like the wristlet idea too but honestly i have a bunch of wristlets and I rarly use them Im a big fan of bringing my camera everywhere and i can never fit eveything in them. I have 3 that are big but they annoy me I rather have a small bag. I know that 1/2 my bridal party would love a wristlet while the other have have a few already and prob wouldnt use them.

Its so hard to get somthing everyone will love. I wish I could just get each person somthing that fits their style but then id feel like there would be someone upset that someone get somthing better then the other

Absolutely, thats exactly how i feel, like i know 3 of my bms would love wristlets, but the other bm would never use one, at least we have two years to decide

i might do small things for each one and then get each a gift card that i know they would each use

Re: Bridesmaid Gifts

I am planning on giving my BMs a wish pearl kit. If you're not familiar with it...it's an oyster in a box (can). You open it up and there is a pearl inside. Depending on what color pearl you get, will depend on what your fortune will be. (Good health, good love, etc.) The kit comes with a necklace and a pendant that you can put the pearl inside. I'm sure I could find other necklaces that are prettier to wear for a wedding, but it's a really unique way of saying how special they are to you.

You can include a card that says something like, 'Pearls are like friends. No two are alike...Thanks for helping to share this special day with me.' (I'm sure you can think of something better than that. Just thinking off the top of my head.)

I know Target sells them online for 40, but I have gotten them through another site (which i can't remember) for A LOT cheaper. I think i paid under 20 for it. I know the company was in CA. If anyone is interested, FM and I'll try to find the site.

I have given these gifts for milestone birthdays and everyone always loves them!!! I gave one to my mom for her 60th and she always has it on.

GL girls!
