I am considering since I have 4 bridesmaids to pay for each of their deposits when we go to order dresses...so that way all they have to pay is the remaining balance when their dress comes in and alterations. With that I might also pay for hair for the day of. How should I let them know that i am planing on doing this? Should I tell them in person or an email? I'm open to ideas...

I think this is very generous, and as someone who has been in 2 weddings this month, much appreciated. I would probably also get them a little token just as something 'to have' as well - an inexpensive shawl or bracelet or makeup bag or something.

My only qualm about doing this is that it's more of a gift for you, no? Because it's the dress YOU want them to wear. Whenever I've been a BM, I just assume it's MY responsibility to buy the dress and get my hair/makeup done.

They are picking out there own dresses. As long as its from the same designer and same color.

I would get them cute cards and maybe give them out when you go to pick the dresses. That way it's more personal and they find out together. I think it'll be more exciting.

i kinda agree with this.. and even though they can pick there own dress.. they are only picking it for you....JMO
