Bridesmaid Gifts..cost?

Bridesmaid Gifts..cost?

I was just wondering about how much you are all spending on your bridesmaids? I have in mind what I want to get my girls but the total cost per girl would be about $100.00. I have seven bridesmaids plus a Jr. Bridesmaid and a ring bearer. All together I would prob end up spending over $1000.00. Is that normal? Or am I being excessive? I'm going broke over here.

Thanks!

You don't have to go crazy!!! I am getting my girls a sterling silver bracelet or necklace. It runs about $25.00 each. You can get great ideas at theknot.com

Hope this helps!

Good Luck!

I am spending about $40-$50 on each BM/GM, I would love to spend more but we just don't have it!

I'm doing about $100/MOH's & $75/BM's. We have 14 people in our wedding party so we have to be careful. I think the groomsmen will be about $50 each.

i'm spending (ideally) $100-$200, but i only have 4-5 girls. as far as the grand total, it's hard to say whether it's 'excessive' or not bc it depends on your budget.

I think I am going to spend $100. Instead of getting them a bunch of garbage...I am going to get a necklace and a $75 gift card towards hair and make-up.

honestly - if u shop around u can get VERY reasonable prices on stuff. especially if u hit sales. My suggestion would be to start now... go ahead of time! ...u have a lot of time before ur wedding - so hit up stores on memorial day weekend & other sale days that come up. I got my girls jewelry off partytimejewelry.com . they have PAGES of stuff, and some of their things are really nice for a really reasonable price. plus u can customize any of the gemstones to match the dresses...AND if u're looking at a particular item, they list matching items at the bottom of the page. I got my girls earrings & a bracelet for about $30...which was great because it left room to get them additional practical gifts. I got them purses as David's bridal($13!) which went with their dresses, and engraved compact mirrors off the knot.com(which they all loved & all still use!). all together i spent between $50-$60 bucks...they got multiple gifts and they were beautiful! I did spend a little bit more on my MOH - got her an embroidered sweatsuit to match mine 'cause i wanted to get her something special. ..but I'm telling u...u just have to shop around. It would've been nice if i could've had a $100 budget on all the girls, but i had a huge bridal party, and DH&i were paying for everything ourselves! so ANYWAYS, i dont think u need to spend that much. keep ur eyes open for sales and google google google. The outlets are always a good idea too!(i hear the coach outlet & such always has cute stuff ) good luck! anything else just ask!

i set a limit of 150 each for MOH and Best Man , 100 for each BM and GM, 75 for each Jr. BM and FGs.

Agreed! Give what you can afford, but hit the sales to make the most of your budget.

I spent $70-$75 on the BMs and $100-$110 on the MOH, but was able to give them full-length fleece robes, hand-tiled compact mirrors, flip flops, luggage tags, Bliss spa sets, duffel bags, and tote bags. The MOH's extra gift was a blanket I made for her.

I feel like my attendants are older and have more money than when we were younger (nearly all of my bridesmaids are married with kids) therefore I need to spend more to get them something more quality. It's so difficult to know what to get .................

I got my girls their earrings, a cute tote, red soap, champagne lipgloss and a personal martini (those hand painted ones). I think I spent a little less than $100 per person, but I bought an extra thing for my matron and maid of honor.

$100 per person doesnt seem that extreme, but it is a lot of money- but unfortunately everything is when it comes to weddings My advice would be to buy a little at a time, so you don't feel so hard hit with the bill. Good luck!
