bridesmaid gown drama

bridesmaid gown drama

One of my bms, ordered her gown out of state. She didn't pick up her gown when it came in and they put it up for sale. So now she does not have a gown for the wedding, its too late to order a new gown since my wedding is less than 4 months away. Does anyone know where I can find a Bill Levkoff bridesmaid gown new or used in Euro Red. If anyone has a used Bridesmaid gown in Euro red size 12 or 14 and are willing to sell it please let me know. I've searched ebay, and craigslist, is there any other websites I could check out?

Where did you get your gowns from? They shouldn't have put it up for sale until after your wedding or at least informed your BM or you that they were going to do it if the dress wasn't picked up. I would check the contract and see what you agreed to.

This sounds fishy.

My friend had us wear Bill Levkoff in Euro Red last year. Mine is a size 4 but I could ask the other BMs if they still have their dresses.

I called the bridal shop today (its a small bridal shop in NC), they said the dress has to be picked up within 60 days of arrival to the store. The dress came in during the month of June. I kept telling her to pick up the gown (she kept saying she would), and obviously she didn't. They bridal shop said the dress sold a few weeks ago. She is my FH sister, so I can't even say just forget about being in the bridal party. It just adds more work for me to do.

Is there anyway to get it rushed? I know people have had to do this when one of their BMs is pregnant.

I never got a call. She got numerous calls. They even gave her an extra two weeks, to get the dress, and she didn't owe a lot of money on it. They offered to refund her deposit (which I paid for) since the dress was sold (which I thought was nice). I don't think its the bridal shops fault.

I was actually just on their site and it says normal delivery time is 3 months. If she ordered it today (and rushed it) she could probably get it b4 the wedding. But, it might be better if you did this for her, lol!

Good luck!

Re: bridesmaid gown drama

you have time, try rk bridal they def have that dress. Let me tell you that normally bm dresses dont take THAT long to come in. I got mine in 2 months and so did most girls who used Rk bridal, some even less than 2 months. I read on their site its bc they dont use a middleman which most bridal stores do and order directly from manufacturer. I ordered for my wedding in february and received bm dresses in april. My friend ordered in may and received dresses in july, i was a bm for her.

Call RK bridal ASAP, and ask them about this and i guarantee they can order the dress for her. She can do no frills and have it delivered to her. This way she can order a new one and HAVE plenty of time to get it altered too.

My fmil's father used to own a dress factory. She told me about a time when a bridal shop burnt down on a Thursday and the wedding was on a Saturday. They were able to ship out the dresses, brand new ones, within three days. It's possible so don't let them tell you otherwise. Contact the dress maker if you need to.

Re: bridesmaid gown drama

Oh man I would be FREAKING OUT! OK here are some suggestions.

BL only takes abot 3 Months to come in so IM sure you can find somewhere and have it rished for safety.

1. Call your Bridal Salon either where you purchased your dress or the BM's dresses or both and ask them to do it with a eush or ask if the have a sample

2. Call around to other bridal salons and ask for a sample or how much a rush would be

3. CHeck Ebay

4. check the interenet I know bestbridalprices.com has BL and they say 11-13 weeks for delivery and also offer a rush 6-8 weeks for an extra $80

Good Lucks

PS what's the style #

Re: bridesmaid gown drama

thanks, everyone for the information. I've been working on this all afternoon. The dress style is 966 euro red with a white sash. It took a little over 3 months last time to get the other bms dresses in. I can probably order her a new gown and pay for rush shipping. I just don't want to go the extra money. My FH and I are going to pay for the gown (urgh), but anyways, I was hoping to see if I can get one used or a sample from a local store. If nothing works out by Friday I'll order a new one and suck up the costs again.
