Re: Bridesmaid hair question
Nahhh... some of my BM have mentioned that they want half up half down (which is what I wanted originally) but honestly in the end it's not like they're going to 'take away' from the bride if they have a similar hair style. I would be really angry if a bride told me how to wear my hair so I'm trying to keep that in mind.
The only 'rule' is NO prom hairdos (I hate that pile of curls on top with slicked back sides with curly streamers on the sides).

Re: Bridesmaid hair question
nope - I have three BMs. My 2 sisters and FSIL. My 2 sisters both have long hair, FSIL has short, short hair.
They are all beautiful women and should be comfortable. I want them smiling and confident in my pictures.

Re: Bridesmaid hair question
Just no prom hair and I asked if everyone would be OK with wearing it all up and no one had a problem with it.

Re: Bridesmaid hair question
Originally they were all going to do their own hair since each of them have very different styles. But lately I've been thinking of having my hair stylist put them in a neat french braid with some whisps in the front.

No way-I believe grown women should wear their hair and makeup as they please. I don't want my BM's looking like they're in a dance recital.

Re: Bridesmaid hair question
I am NOT telling them how to wear their hair! That's just not me. They are 8 different women! All with very different hair. I am not telling them how to wear their hair, or making them all get the same shoe. The shoe just needs to be gold or black patent.

Re: Bridesmaid hair question
I'm just asking that it's not identical to mine...other than that, I don't care how they do it.

Re: Bridesmaid hair question
I would never tell my BM's how to wear their hair and I would hope nobody would ever tell me! Its rude to tell them to pay for their hair and then give them the exact style JMO

Re: Bridesmaid hair question
If you have a hair piece you want them all to wear or were going to give them, you could bounce it off them and see what they think. Or if you're going to have them put flowers in their hair or something.
But I agree with everyone else (and you, from what I see) that I wouldn't dictate about it.
I'm not even telling my BMs what shoes to wear! I hate the idea of them having to spend more money just to match exactly. The dress will be enough to me.
As far as hair goes, their hair is sooooo different (my MOH is asian, my BM is not) that it would be silly to try to get them to match.
But I will be the only one wearing a veil!!

Nope. If they want their hair done they can get it done. If not they can do it themselves. Its totally up to them.

Re: Bridesmaid hair question
I, as a previous bridesmaid, cant stand having to wear my hair a certain way....so of course I didnt ask my girls to. I want them to feel comfortable and beautiful too :o). I did let them know NO crazy stuff though. We're all going together to get our hair done so it wont be a problem
