Bridesmaid in Black questions

Hi, I know I definitely want my bridesmaids in black. Can you post pics of the dresses you chose? Also, what colors should the mothers wear if the girls are in black? Thanks so much

THe moms can be in any color that they want, other than white/ivory. I know girls who have BMs in black and their moms too. It is all personal preference. Let the Moms find the dress that they like, they pick the color. It is easier that way.

Chose this dress..although my photoshop editing definitely could use improvement.

My FMIL is wearing blue....definitely not the perfect compliment to black but I didn't think her coordination was all that important. If I had had my way, I would have rathered her in a maroon or rust color.

Here is a link to my bridesmaid dresses. They are black and white. My mom was talking about getting black, and that's fine with me. I really don't mind what she wears, as long as she's happy. Just not white!! I hope the link works...the picture is too big to post. Good luck!Bridesmaid dress link

Its a Jim Hjelm. $150 from Netbride.com - $250 from the salon we tried it on in.

I LOVE the dress you chose...

In fact, I love all Jim Hjelm dresses and I was thinking of choosing a color (solid & plaid), and allowing my BM to pick any dress. If you don't mind me asking...

How does the netbride.com dress situation work? Did you have your girls get fitted elsewhere and then order them online? I think it's a great idea!

Thanks!

Re: Sonicstef...

You have to have them measured. My girls did it at a tailor just to be sure, but you can measure yourself.

Just like in a salon, you order the dress based on the girls largest measurement (bust, hips or waist).

My girls are taking their dresses to a tailor to be altered. Cheaper than the salon too!

Just a warning - Jim Hjelm has weird sizing issues. Some of their sizes are 'normal' and some are too big. So your dresses may be on the larger size when the come in. If your girls are an 8 or a 10 - might as well go try the dress on in the store so they know their size. Otherwise, just order the size according to the chart.

is there an itme number on that dress? I wasn't able to find it on the jim hjelm site, and couldn't find jim hjelm on netbride. maybe i am doing something wrong?

Re: Sonicstef...

On the website it says JH2225 but I believe JH reverses all his style numbers.

Just call netbride up and explain the dress you want. I gave them the 2225 number and they knew to reverse it.
