So I have a long time friend who loves to be the center of attention at all times. I didn't think she was going to be an issue as a bridesmaid. Boy was I wrong. First she gave me a hard time about the make up. She didn't want to get her makeup done with the person I've hired. After going back and forth she finally agreed.
The other day I get a text from her asking if she could wear a swaroski crystal headband to the wedding!!!!
I had to laugh....I'm like who's getting married here...Me or You??
Had to share this with you girls. Can you believe it?

Oh My goodness! I don't know what I would do in that situation. Just make sure you say NO to the headband, and make it clear that you are the bride...not her...

I hate to laugh, but I just think it's funny when BM's are so difficult! I guess they don't realize what they sign on for. One of mine asked me if she could have a wardrobe change (take off the BM dress after the ceremony). Actually, she didn't ask and just kind of said, 'Well, I'll probably bring another dress for after the ceremony.' I just responded, 'I'd prefer if you girls all kept your dresses on for photos and stuff.' In my head I was laughing at how silly it sounded that a BM wanted a wardrobe change

Seriously, I wonder why we make ourselves have BMs sometimes.

Re: Bridesmaid Issues
I actually was asked by a few BMs if they should wear anything in their hair, I was like ummm No!!!
If they really wanna wear something in their heads i'll find one of those 80's combs with the cascading flowers and pearls and really make them regret it
you shoulda asked her if she wants to wear white too

Hm, maybe I'm missing something, but I could care less what they wear in their hair or how they do it. Unless they wore a veil which I wouldn't allow just bc it would cause people to wonder what is wrong with her :)
Let her figure out her own makeup! I don't care whether mine do their own hair and makeup or have it done.

Ugh, for one, crystal headband will look retarded on her considering she is just a bridesmaid. Just tell her you are wearing a headband and you prefer if no one else wore one. As for the hair and makeup thing, in my opinion- she should have whoever she wants to her hair and makeup.

Girly.. I'm sorry to hear your having problems with your friend.. She is RIDICULOUS in even asking you if she could wear one!! Who she think she is??!! Its your wedding and make it clear to her and anyone who gets on your nerves!!

Re: Bridesmaid Issues
Thanks girls! I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this way.
Regarding the makeup, they all suggested and agreed in the beginning that we get a makeup person to come to the hotel where we are getting ready. This wasn't a surprise. I don't agree with her getting her makeup done elsewhere because I want them to be similar. This is the only thing that I've asked of them. They are getting whatever shoes they want as long as it matches the dress and they are doing their hair with whoever they want and any style they want.
As far as the headband, I don't agree with the since I am not wearing a tiara. I am wearing a headband. I don't agree with a bridesmaid wearing a headband similar to the bride especially since the other 7 girls aren't wearing one either.
Maybe I'm be a bridezilla but I would never do that as a bridesmaid.

Oh god...I hope she doesn't try to walk down the aisle for you!!
