Re: Bridesmaid poems
I wrote this for another bride on here for her sister. I wrote TWO versions, one for sisters who were close growing up, another for sisters who were NOT close growing up BUT became close in the past few years(which she needed)
Hope these help! I can work on a friend poem if you're interested. Just let me know!! The only thing I ask of people is to put my name in the poem as the author. Thanks! Elisa FM me for full name if you use these.
I Like That - (The CLOSE version) Little children, not a care in the world, Growing up together, laughing, having fun. Splashing in the pool, fighting over toys. Life is beautiful, and we are sisters, We’re the best of friends, and I like that. Teenagers, boyfriends, sharing clothes. Fights over the bathroom, Late-night curfews, and sneaking out. Being cool and fitting in, going our own way, but we’re still sisters, the best of friends, and I like that. Grown women, college, new friends, serious boyfriends, even marriage. Children may come, lots of worries and cares, But life is still beautiful, we are sisters, and still the best of friends, and I like that. We may be going separate ways, starting new lives, being apart, But growing up with you has been a wonderful journey, and I can’t wait to see where that journey takes us. The greatest part is that we are sisters, still the best of friends, and I like that.
I Like That - (The not so close growing up version) Little children, not a care in the world, Growing up together, as individuals. We were never alike, so very different but we were sisters, and I liked that. Teenagers, boyfriends, Fights over the bathroom, Late-night curfews, never getting along, Being cool and fitting in, going our own way, but we were still sisters, and I liked that. Grown women, college, new friends, serious boyfriends, even marriage. Children may come, lots of worries and cares, but we’re still sisters, and I like that. Growing up had its ups and downs, and we may not have been as close as sisters can get, but here we are, closer than ever, and While we may be going separate ways, starting new lives, and being apart, The greatest part is that we are sisters, and I like that.
