Bridesmaid Question

My BM don't know eachother very well, as I am having personal friends and FH two sisters.. I wanted to do a night out with all of us, to get to know one another. I live in Georgia, so they will probably have to do some stuff without me there. anyway. Do I have a BM luncheon and then go for dresses, or should I just have a night out as well..

When do you go look for dresses with your girls? how far in advance??

I am getting married in november and I am going to start looking for dresses with my girls sometime in january... not all the girls live in the area so I will need to go at different times. I think taking all the girls to lunch sounds like a good idea... it will be a somewhat calm environment and everyone can talk and get to know each other. If you wanna go out at night thats cool too but I would do lunch first so they can get a chance to talk.

I would do a luncheon and leave the night out for the Bachelorette party. A luncheon is more intimate and you'll actually be able to talk. Since you are getting married in March, I would say you can start taking them out shopping for gowns in March or even as late as May. I just started looking at BM gowns with one of my BMs yesterday and my wedding is only 10 mos away. BM gowns don't take as long to come in as your gown (I know in your case it didn't take long at all!). But you do still want to give yourself some time to allow for any, er, 'delays'.

Anyway, our next shopping trip won't be until mid-January. When I was planning for April 2005, I was planning on taking them shopping in March. Hope this helps!
