I always wondered what the point of ribbon wands were haha- I think they are pretty, but always worried that my wedding guests would have no clue what it's supposed to be used for lol- I'm glad someone shares the same thoughts as me on that!

You're welcome!
@Lauren - I know it's not the ones you are using.
I feel bad posting who the DOC was since, I didn't hire her for a service, so it may not be a great source to give the review, it's just my perception of what occurred. I do have to say everyone else had the same sentiments about her though. I know a lot of people use her and have positive things to say. I just don't want to scare people, but the good thing is you'll know what to address if you do have her. I'm happy to FM anyone the info, I just don't want to give bad publicity openly. If I was the one engaging her services, then yes, I'd be willing to post it, but in this case I just feel bad.

Yes, please let me know about the DOC as well! Also, you said there were multiple events going on at the Inn- just curious how you knew they were going on if you didn't see any of the other people? Do you know if they were in the room to the left when you went down the hall to the ballroom or were they downstairs? Was there any overlap with the valets? Thanks!

Great to have a review from the perspective of a bridesmaid. Listen to her :)

At the Inn, I knew they were going on because I walked past them in the hall. There was a Sweet 16 and a Fireman's Dinner. The wedding is all the way at the end of the hallway so if you walk toward the front door (from the wedding room) you pass the other rooms and the music is blasting and the door's are open so you can see it. There were also people in the bar area as well. I'm not sure if there were valet issues because we were dropped off in the back by the party bus. I would imagine as long as the event times are staggered there shouldn't be an issue. The wedding was from 7:30pm-2:30am, the other parties fell in between those times. Hope that helps!

Hi guys,
I don't mean to make anyone nervous. The yelling is a personality thing, but the other things (like the order of the line, replacing the baskets, etc.) were things she should've known better. Again, it could've been lack of direction by my friend, maybe? I don't know, it seemed pretty clear the flower girls should've used the baskets my friend gave them to use. I think if you have clear communication before and really lay out what you want done you should be OK. I hate to give a bad review, but we all thought the same thing so it's not like I'm more sensitive to it. I'm sure your day will be fine. As I mentioned, we never told my friend about these things so she wasn't upset during the wedding and the wedding still went off without a hitch. We all made it down the aisle, the flower girls still dropped their petals, etc. So don't be nervous!!

Re: Bridesmaid Review
I found that has a bride-to-be when you go to a wedding you are more critical. You see weddings in a whole new way. I have a feeling that your observations were very different from the other bridesmaids. I don't mean this in a bad way but I felt this way last summer.
I never heard of DOC until I started planning my wedding. I will not have one. If I was in a wedding 2 years ago, I don't think I would know if what she was doing was right or wrong. Granted you would know she had an attitude.
Regarding the ribbon wands. I know you said you felt it wouldn't be right for your ceremony in the hall. I am on the fence regarding them. Did most people know what to do with them? I would use mine outside the church. How did people line up? My bridal party would be on the sides and the guests would be in front of us. I am thinking of only having them for the bridal party. Any thoughts? tia
