Hi Ladies, Can you guys post pictures of your bridesmaid shoes? My bm dresses are a darker shade of lavendar--does anyone have any color suggestions? I was thinking silver, but really not sure!
Also are you guys letting them pick out their own style shoes, but they have to keep it in the same color? What about the heel length?

yes they were. But i also would've done it if they werent. Not telling you not to do it though, just do what you want to do. I also didnt tell them how to do their hair or make up and left that up to them. Same with both of our mothers, i let them pick whatever, and same with DH i let him pick the tuxes, and whole look.

Re: Bridesmaid Shoes
I let all the girls pick their own shoes - style, heal height. I did ask that they be dyed brown and that is only because of the color of their dresses. Any other color would have looked strange even though you don't really see their feet.
For my sister's wedding we all got to pick our shoes and our dresses were tea length -- she asked they all be gold. It really is what you want but try and give them some say so they are comfortable.

Re: Bridesmaid Shoes
I'm having my girls pick their own shoes. My only 'requirements' on it is that it's Apple Red to match the dresses and that there's some kind of heel on it, at least 2 inches. But I didn't wanna chose a specific kind, I'd rather let them decide their own price range on that.

Re: Bridesmaid Shoes
I'm letting them pick out their own. Two girls are pretty tall and the other two are kinda short. They just have to be silver I don't care what they look like - you won't even see them.

Re: Bridesmaid Shoes
yeah, for shoes, I'm going to let them pick - but then again, my BM dresses are long. If mine were short, I'd probably tell them which ones to wear. And - then only thing besides the dress that I'm telling them looks-wise is that their hair can't be exaclty like my style...otherwise they can pick :)

I just told them to get them dyed to match the dress but I could care less what kind of shoes they wear

Re: Bridesmaid Shoes
I have such a hard time finding shoes that I think are comfortable there is no way I would force a shoe on someone else. I told them I wanted them to get silver shoes and they are choosing whatever they want. Plus the dyed to match shoes are basically shoes you can't wear again, and the dye can run, I feel better about the girls having shoes they can wear again.

I'm doing the same thing. I really don't want to make my girls buy new shoes that they might never wear again. I told them to pick shoes that match the dress. I trust their judgement. By the way my girls are wearing tea length dresses. They were all surprised that this is what I decided but honestly its one less thing for me to worry about.

I let my BMs pick their own shoes. I think I suggested silver, but I really didn't care. You couldn't even see their shoes under their dresses, and I just wanted them to be comfortable

I told my girls to pick their own shoes, but asked that they were silver. A few of them already had silver shoes, so they wore those. Plus, I felt like at least if they were silver, they could wear them again.

Re: Bridesmaid Shoes
I told my girls I would 'prefer' they wear silver open toe shoes, and to let me know if that's a problem. 1 girl wore shoes she already had, 2 went out and bought new shoes they liked, 1 borrowed from a friend, and I don't know about the 5th.
I wanted them to be comfortable and didn't want them to have to buy a new pair if they already had silver shoes or could borrow from a friend. My sis (MOH) bought these metallic clubby shoes that were soooo not my style but the dresses were long and she liked them so whatever
I dont think their shoes are visible in any of my pro pictures

We did silver and I let them pick. I wanted something they could use again. The dress was wine colored

I'm going to pick a color and let them pick their own shoes- I'd rather them be comfortable!
For a dark lavender- I think silver would look good.
