Bridesmaid Troubles

I have a situation with my bridesmaids....three of them are not on speaking terms with each other...I am afriad of confrontation between them throughout my wedding plans and wedding day.... I was going to try to do things with them seperatly to avoid this (like the dresses and ect) but eventually they will all have to be in the same room with one another....any suggestions or advice...also keep in mind none of them are willing to make amends with the others...help!!! how should I handle this??

I would contact each bridesmaid or have a get together beforehand and lay down the law. Tell them whatever their differences are/were they need to be set aside for your wedding.

Just make sure that they each feel special. Then, there won't be any jealousy. And, let them know how much you appreciate that they're all getting along out of respect to you...

Ugh, what a hassle! Is this a recent development, or did you know about this when you asked them to be BMs?

I purposely picked girls that get along with each other, with the groomsmen, and generally with everyone. The last thing I want to deal with is negativity or tension on my wedding day! It meant not having to ask certain people that I am close with, but I think it is for the better.

Good luck! This isn't an easy situation!

Yep! That is what I would do and then maybe you can gently suggest that they grow up. Good Luck!!!

Tough one. Are they former all former friends or are they related? Hmmm... don't know if that matters. I think I would just speak to each of them individually and say something like 'Look, you know so-and-so are also BMs in my wedding. Do you think you can be civil for my wedding day?'

If they are truly your friends, they will behave themselves whenever they have to be together and be civil for your sake and for the sake of not ruining your wedding day. You just have to make it clear what exactly you expect of them. Tell them exactly which events they will be together at (shower, rehearsal dinner, etc) and tell them to be prepared to behave civily.

Unfortunately, you can't make them make up or like each other temporarily; and really they don't have to, they just have to be a friend to you during your wedding planning and on your wedding day.

Good luck!

I have a similar issue with my BP. I only have 3 women and 2 out the 3 dislike each other sooooo much (and we're sisters no less). But, given that it is MY day they will hold their tongue back and be amicable for at least that one day.

Set it straight with them as early as now. Tell them to keep the peace until the wedding is over (at the very least). I am sure they will understand and if you mean that much to them they will do what pleases you.

I agree.. Let them know your wedding is not the time nor place to go at each other

Their troubles with one another has been going on for a while now...two of them are not speaking because one kicked the other out of her wedding party (yikes!!! i know) The three of them are my closest friends and I couldn't imagine sharing my wedding day with out them. I haven't offically asked them yet to be my Bridesmaids....but will definitly lay down the law when I do.... WISH ME LUCK!!!! Thanks guys!! I'll keep you all posted, I'm sure there will be some type of drama!!
