I'm in a close friend's wedding this Saturday (she's also one of my BM). We have been friends since childhood, along with another girl 'Carrie'. Carrie took a VERY different path after high school, and outside of anything relating to my friends wedding we have not had any contact in almost ten years.
Carrie doesn't drive. Today she sent me a text message telling me she needs a ride to the RD and the wedding.
Ok no problem.
Then she informs me she never ordered her dress for the wedding, which is A WEEK FROM TODAY, because 'she didn't have a ride there'.
Are you serious!!
Now I'm responsible for carting her a$$ to David's Bridal tomorrow to try and sort this all out, after my own bridal shower mind you, to try and get her a dress so my friend, who is already beyond stressed, won't have to worry about this.
And she asks me why she's not in my BP! Really??
Some people!! GRRRRRRRR!

I'm almost positive she isn't going to be able to get a dress, unless they just happen to have one on the rack in her size and the right color, but what are the odds of that?

That is crazy. How does she think she would be in a wedding without a dress? What if you did not take her was she just going to show up in anything or not at all?

Wow. I don't have a car and I was able to get myself to the store to buy a bridesmaid dress- nine times over, lol. You are not this girl's mom, it shouldn't have to be your responsibility.

if the bride doesnt know i wouldnt even tell her and get it figured out.
i know if i were the bride and i heard that...i would FLIP. i'm sure she doesnt need any more stress since her wedding is so close.
that said, it is NOT your responsibility to fix this mess for 'Carrie'. she needs to grow the f up and stop being so self centered. she had months to figure this out! i don't like her!

I haven't asked any of my girls yet and it's because of things like that! I keep joking that it's like auditions right now and whoever does the best gets to be in my bridal party I mean it's just kidding but I should do that.
one of my friends is very dramatic, likes to get drunk and then starts crying. even right now she's mad at me because I went to look at a hall with her friend who is also my friend. I don't know if she's jealous or what her problem is with that. he's a guy friend but obviously we are not hooking up since I am planning a wedding to someone else! lol.
since when did my day become about her? one of my best friends but just ugh
anyway I wish bms had to sign contracts or something to not do stupid stuff and do everything on time! luckily it's david's bridal because you will probably find the dress. even if you have to go to another david's bridal. they search in the computers and will find if it's available anywhere else
