So one of my long time friends started planting the seed that she may be dropping out of my bridal party. She didnt tell me directly, but has been hinting to my MOH who told me. Appearently the reason being, she doesnt think the dress that will fit her and my friend told her that they have appropriate sizing and then she said she was concerned that she would not be comfortable. Knowing her, I just feel like this is a BS excuse. I know she has a lot going on - (having a baby in a month, some financial issues, etc.) In normal circumstances I would totally understand, but I just feel like this is par for the course with her. She got married last year and I went above and beyond with my time and financially for her wedding. It just kind of aggrevates me because I really am trying to see it from her side and maybe she is insecure, and short on cash - but its so hard to sympatize because I see her wearing strapless dresses all the time, claiming poverty and than tearing up a Tory Burch sample sale, etc. I just wish she would let me know sooner rather than later if she is going to be in or not and I dont want to broach the subject with her because I dont want to cause issues with her and my MOH. I told my MOH to tell her that she should talk to me ASAP - just so frustrating. And to be honest, if she told me in the next few weeks I wouldn't even be mad. I hope she doesn't decide to tell me a week before the wedding.

that sucks. Have you tried talking to her? I know she hasnt said anything to you directly, but maybe u can ask her if everything is ok, that she seems 'off'?

I'd most definitely be up front with her & speak to her about it.... sure, she didn't say anything to you directly, but a MOH's job is to keep the other girls in line-so if she said something to your MOH, of course you were going to find out! You have every right to be told right away if she is going to flake out on you...

Def talk to her. Tell her you just wanted to check in with all the bridesmaids and make sure everyone is feeling good and on the same page.
