Bridesmaid vs. Jr. Bridesmaid

Bridesmaid vs. Jr. Bridesmaid

For all of you who are having jr. bridesmaids, how old are they? FH and I each have a cousin who we would like to be in the bridal party but I'm not sure what their title should be. One will be 13 and the other will be 14 at the time of the wedding. I remember being a jr. bridesmaid once, but I was only like 8 years old, so I kind of feel like they're at that in between age of jr. bm and bm. Aside from the title, are there any differences in the two? Obviously they would be too young to really participate in a bachelorette party or planning a shower, but for the actual wedding day, they'd be doing the same things, right? Any ideas? Thanks!

I'm having a jr. I think she's around 8 years old. I don't think they really do anything. It's my FH's goddaughter.

If I was you I'd make them junior bridesmaids.

mine will be 10, but i think she's on the lower end of the age range. i think you could go either way, and the determining factor might end up being which dresses carry their size (BM or jr).

Im having 5 jr bridesmaids and they will be 13, 14, and 16 years old. I think you can call your girls what ever you want. I was in a wedding this weekend and I was paired up with the grooms 11 year old nephew. He was a groomsman!

I think they're the right age for Jr. Bridesmaids. My cousin was one last year and she was 12 and my aunt was one a long time ago and she was 15 at the time.

My Jr Bridesmaid will be 13 when I get married and her brother will be 14 (both are in the wedding).

My Jr. BM is 8 and I have a Neice who is 14 who is my BM. I say anything over 13 makes them a BM.

my 2 neices will be 12 (on the day of actually) and 11 .... i made them jr bm's

and then my nephew who will be 10 will be a jr gm

My two nieces will be 14 and 16 at the wedding and I'm calling them both BM's. I was a BM at my sisters wedding and I was only 11. I remember being very upset at the thought of being called a Jr BM so I think my sister gave in and called me a BM. I don't think there have to be any differences. Both of my nieces are tall (5'8 and 5'9) so i can't see them wearing different dresses.
