My financee wants her sisters to stand on my side... and every time I try to plan something they ignore me- or tell me to remind them when the time comes closer.
I have decided (although I have not told my fiancee yet) that she is going to pick who SHE wants to stand on HER side... and I will pick who I want on MINE.
Her sisters can stand on HER side.... and do their own thing if that is what she wants and I will have both my brother and MY SISTERS and other BM's on my side.
They clearly don't care about it... so I am not going to aggravate myself on MY DAY chasing after people who don't appreciate being there.
Is this a good decision? Or am I supposed to suck it up? (I know this sounds harsh but these are my frustrations!!!) I would have never picked them if my fiancee didn't want all the girls on my side!!!

Talk to your fiancee. It's completely acceptable to have whoever you want stand by your slde -- bridesmaids, bridesmen, groomsmen, groomswomen/groomsmaids, whatever terms you decide to use. But if she really wants all the girls on your side and all the guys on hers... it might not be worth the disagreement. It depends how important it is to her. It's her wedding too! You could just write off her sisters as bridesmaids who will show up and wear the dresses but not do anything before then.
ITA. If she wants all the BM's on yours and all the Gm's on hers then I would just suck it up. If there are some BM's on hers as well then I would say to have her sisters on her own side.

lol this makes me crazy!!!!!! I feel like its my wedding too... and I want people on my side who want to be there and love me and want to help me the best that they can. I'm being a brat I think. But it bothers me that its not for me... its for their own SISTER and future sister in law- and they aren't taking the time.

IMO- I would just suck it. That's just mean. probably why though FMIL is trying to mush other issues. I am having my fiance's sister who lives in FLA that i rarely see/talk to for my fiance. If you are doing BM one side and GM the other then I def. would just take it in stride. If you are so against it and uncomfortable with it then def. let you fiance know though. FSIL hasn't ever been rude mean or anything so I can't say it the same thing!

All I did was ask them to come to try on dresses in November. I set up a date that is exactly 1 year from the wedding date. No response.... and I asked her sister 'Do you even want to be in the bridal party' and she said.... 'Yeah I don't mind.'
I am going to suck it up. But I'm not happy about it!!!!!
I'm not asking them to do anything but go get their dresses together! I'm even letting them pick them out so they can be happy with what they are wearing!!!

at my cousin's wedding, she had her sister and brother stand on her side, and her fiance's sister's and brother's stand on her fiance's side. it was really sweet and looked nice.
