bridesmaids

how do you tell someone you can't have them in your bridal party after you already asked them to be in it. when i first got engaged last year i had asked her since we were childhood friends and even though we grew apart as we got older(moving, diff. schools, etc.) we still kept in touch every so often. but now i want to keep my bridal party at 5 girls girls who i've always been close to since kindergarden. we finally booked place 2months ago and wedding planing is taking place, and i dont know how to tell her. she hasnt brought it up at all.

IMO - I don't think you can.

You have already asked and which would have the more negative outcome -

- telling your friend that she is no longer invited to be in your wedding party b/c you just want it to be these other girls and somehow her presence may mess up your time...

or

- sucking it up and enjoying the day even with her there.

Is she annoying? obnoxious? rude? Will she be okay getting along with the other girls? Then I say keep her in and it will work out fine. In the planning process EVERYTHING seems like it could be an earth-shattering decision. But it's not.

Thats a tough one, especially since you already asked her. I personally don't think there is any way you can do that nicely. Good luck.

I agree. Even though you may not want her in it, the point is you already asked.

If she is causing problems and showing complete disinterest thats another story. But if you guys have just kind of been distant, and she hasn't done a thing wrong, you cannot ask her to not be a part of it.

She may say something to you if she feels uncomfortable and in that case the balls in your court!
