So two of my bridesmaids live in Pennsylvania. I'm wondering if it's going to be a problem for them to come for fittings and stuff. Do you think I should look for BM dresses in a place like David's Bridal which is everywhere or should I make them suck it up and come here, lol. Anyone else have this problem?
I don't think that's a problem. They just have to send their meaurements.
one of my bridesmaids is in PA, and two are in CA- so I will probably go through either davids bridal, or an online place like bridesave- so they don't have to travel.
Most of my friends live in different states, so for all of the weddings we've been in and will be in this has been an issue. What everyone has done so far is just have the bridesmaids call in their measurements, and then the BM dresses are shipped out to the girls so they can bring them to their own tailor.
Well, I live in DC, 2 BMs live in NY, 1 is in WI and one is in London. I've just decided to bring them separately to the bridal store to get an idea of the style that they like. Once we figure out what dress to get I'll order it off of netbride.
One of my girlfriends lives in California. After we chose a bm dress she went to a seamstress there and called in her measurements to the store. I don't think its a problem and you don't have to get alterations done in the same place as you order the dress.
I have two bridesmaids coming from out of the country and the bridal salon said all they need is the measurements from the girls. They can either give me a box and I can ship the girls the dresses or if the girls are going to be here, a few days before or a week before they can do the alterations here. So talk to the place you are considering getting the dresses from.
It shouldnt be a problem...I have one girl who lives in Arizona...I will pick out the dress and all she has to do is get measured by her and then call in with the measurements and they will order it...
I don't think its a problem, I have my two OOT Bridesmaid order their shoes when i was placing the order for th erest of my BMs and they will send me their measurements.
when my sister got married last july, our other sister was living in germany so we guessed her size according to her measurements and the designer's sizing charts. I dont think you'll have a problem.

I'm a BM in my friends wedding in July...she lives in MD but is from NY & half our her BP is in MD and it was no problem at all. Everyone sent in there measurements.......when they came in either her or her mother picked up dresses for the girls in MD and gave it to them to have them altered whereever they wanted to.
My MOH is in Michigan, one bm is in SC (which is where I am) and one is in NY....all they ahve to do is getting their sizes to you-you can order them and they can ship them COD to their homes so that they can have them altered

2 of my girls are in Florida.. I am giving them the style of the dress and trusting them to do the rest!!!
I am having them send me the measurements because I want all the dresses dyed in the same lot so that thecolors wil be exact. If you order them separately the colors may look different. JMO
