Bridesmaids

I have an idea of who I want to ask. My sister is definitely my MOH. I told another friend a while ago that she was. Theres 2 more girls I want to ask. I was waiting to see how 'involved' they would be, or if someone else might be more. I didn't want to 'fire' them after I asked. These 2 other girls have been my good friends for the longest out of everyone I know. Anyways, I have decided on asking one of them. The other I'm not 100 % about. Did any of you girls ask them in a special way? I see theres cards you can send, or flowers, or did you just ask?

i told my moh the day i got engaged ... my 2 bms just assumed... they were right their my best friends... and my FH sister still havent asked..

i made cards (in my album) and im going to buy them the 101 things to do with a brides maids dress.. and going to give them for xmas!

I definately want to wait a little while longer before i ask a friend whom i am on and off with. I plan on asking in a special way, there are alot of gilrs that have done really creative things, and then there are others who just simply asked.

i just asked ...i didnt even know about this site when i got engaged do i didnt know about the cards and stuff like that

Yeah... maybe I'll do a little something special. I think she knows though because shes coming with me and my other BM to look at the hall again, I think I'm colorblind so I am in need of matching help, and to look at dresses. Its pretty obvious already.

I wanted to wait to ask bridesmaids but figured since i have no female friends that i am close with I just ask the one person who has been in my life for 10 years - Dave he is my man of honor. I got him a frame with a personalized message on it with a pic of both of us.

Bridesmaids- i am asking sister in law and my fh's neice. I got them a small trinket box with their names on it and inside a note saying will you be my bridesmaid. This will be handed out on xmass so its like a xmass gift.

For their gifts at the wedding i will get them a inexpensive emerald necklace for the girls and for dave i will get a membership of a diff/ beer a month thing.

For flower girl /ring bearer- xmass get a gift each with a small basket/pillow with a book and some candies and a special card i made.

I would wait to ask anyone honestly until after the 10 month mark if your unsure of them.

if you aren't sure wait....a lot can change in two years....ask the 07 girls, i know a lot had this problem....I'm not gonna ask anyone until next summer!!!

I'm not asking anyone yet, just my sister who is going to be my MOH but I didn't even ask her she just assumed and of course she is right. As far as my girls go, it's a little difficult b/c I have a group of friends I've had forever and 2 of the girls I'm not so close with anymore but we all grew up together so I think I might have to ask them so I am just not saying anything until closer ot hte wedding

I didn't do anything creative ...just asked!! I later realized I could have done cards (i never thought of that) now i wish i did..but all the girls i asked were honored!

so far I've told my sister (MOH) and asked my two best friends. We're asking FH's two girl cousins on the saturday after thanksgiving and then my cousins' wife around christmas. We spread it out a little this way we had time to think about who we really wanted to have. We just asked the people who were absolute definites right away.

Same goes for the GM.

I'm pissy now. I don't know why I tell anyone anything. So I told my mom I was going to ask my friend to be the third official BM, and her reply, which is always negative, is how is she gonnna do that. OK. You guys need background info. Known this girl since 7th grade!!!! She went away to law school and met a guy from St Louis. Is taking the bar in NY, NJ and St louis in hopes of moving there in March. But so what? Shes still my girl, right?

i understand your problem...i have 4 definites...and FH says he only wants 6 people (he will consider 7, but does not want a large bridal party)....which means i have to pick between my 2 cousins and 3 friends...i dont know how to decide!!!!
