Bridesmaids

Is anyone else having a hard time finding their bridesmaid dresses and getting all girls together at the same time to pick a dress?

Anyone have any advise?

yea i had a hard time. budgets were tight and I wanted them to feel comfortable so I told them they can buy their own dresses in chocolate brown. its working perfectly since my bms are in all shapes and budgets.

I ended up just doing Alfred Angelo separates. I picked the color and the skirt and told them the order by date. The rest was up to them.

I picked a style and the color but I wanted them to see it and tell me what they think. I picked sep. as well but this one is close to $200 bucks and I don't know if they will be ok with spending that much because orig. dress was $150

Took me a while to decide on what I liked. Once I chose the designer and the color I had whoever could make it to the date I chose try on the ones I was interested in - we narrowed it down to 3 and the girls were allowed to pick any of the three. All three are very similar - same color, style and material, just different necklines pretty much. But all 6 girls are diff sizes so I wanted them to be comfortable.

Ugh, dont remind me of this nightmare. I have 3, and all live OOT. One didnt like the first dress I picked, I couldnt find anything that would look good on everyone, so finally I just let them all pick their own styles...which was a nightmare in and of itself. BUT, its all solved now...so hang in there, it will all work out in the end.

Don't stress. Pick a designer and color or color combo that you love. If you are afraid they will not like one specific gown let them chose one to flatter their body style. It really is a nice look!

My only other advice is to chose one gown that they will be able to order locally. Most salons carry the popular designers or would be able to order it in for your girls. There is always David's Bridal if you want the nationwide chain. You could always have the girls measured locally and called in to your bridal salon. I have done that in the past and it worked out well.

Good luck

you don't have a lot of time.

Tell your Bridemais they need to make a decision in 2 weeks.

I just ordered mine yesterday and they are expected mid to late June. All of the dress are going to need some sort of alteration as well.

Have you tried dept. stores like macy's and JC Penny?

Okay i had the same issue just like most of the brides i bet do too....i had my girls wear IMPRESSION SEPARATES this was the best idea ever I choose the color of the dress that way all the colors were the same dye lot they got to pick there own tops and i choose the skirt but everyone was so happy and it was fun to see what they all choose,,,,and the prices on impression dresses are not bad at all....
