Re: bridesmaids

I'm having diffuculty with this. I don't want my girls to spend alot of $$. My dream dress is $300!!!
So I'm back to the drawing board. I'm actually going to some places this Friday.
I want to go to Lilettes in Baldwin and Macy's in Manhasset. But now I'm getting worried b.c of what happened to Dani at Lilettes!! So I'm totally not sure now!

Re: bridesmaids

I got mine at vera wang already - the girls picked their dress - and b/c they picked a dress that was 100$ more than I chose I paid 100$ of each of their deposits

Re: bridesmaids

We're leaning heavily towards a Watters & Watters dress. Will probably order through Netbride b/c 2 of my 4 BMs are out of state and the price I was quoted was SIGNIFICANTLY less expensive than any store. A Vera Wang dress is a second-runner...surprisingly, the dresses are cheaper than the W&W dresses - not by much, but still less expensive.

Re: bridesmaids

we'll probably start looking next month, but some may not order till later because MOH wants to lose more weight. But i want them chosen so i can move ahead with the flowers and favor colors.
i don't know where to go either... i like some davids dresses but im afraid to go there... also bridal reflections i MAY go to.

I got the Bm dresses at The Bridal garden in Bathpage, and the Matron and maid of honor dresses at The Wedding Plaza in Baldwin,They were both a pleasure to work with.

Re: bridesmaids

I ordered mine at the same place I ordered my dress - Bridal Couture of Manhasset. They are Watters and Watters and I picked them out at a trunk show with the two more choosy bridesmaids - we all agreed on them too! First time out shopping even! They're pretty informal though, so I don't know if a lot of people would like them...I'm having a day wedding, so i thought it would be better. It's style # 2753/2773 (one had beading - MOH and the other is plain silk organza) - both in the color shown on the website and in the ads.

Re: bridesmaids

I have my girls all wearing different dresses, but I picked out a dozen dresses & let them choose which one they wanted to wear.... the only 2 rules were, no duplicate dresses & they had to be truthful about their size!!!!!

Re: bridesmaids

I am getting my bridesmaid dresses at the Bridal Suite of Bayshore. They are the seperates by Alfred Angelo. They were very reasonable. I don't think they were over $ 200.00. I love them because they can choose whatever top and bottom they like. It comes in handy when all the girls are different sizes.

Re: bridesmaids

Here comes the Bridesmaid has a fantastic selection. There is a store in Great Neck and one in the city on 14th st on the west side.

Re: bridesmaids

I want them to go as cheap as they can, so I am leaving it up to them to pick out their dress (or at least 2 will go with me)

Re: bridesmaids

palebride - that's the dress that we're considering - #2773 - in black. Even though we're having an evening wedding, I'm all over the idea of them wearing a tea-length dress. It looks simple enough that it could pass for informal or formal.

What color are you ordering it in?

Re: bridesmaids

I picked out a color and it is up to them to choose the dress. That way they can go as cheap or lavish as they want and they will all be comfortable. I like the look of the bill Levkoff dresses and the Watters and Watters dresses too. But my primary concern is that everyone is comfortable. The place where I bought my dress offers a 10% discount to all of my bridesmaids.

We're ordering the Watters 2773 in Bouquet w/ cotton candy ribbon. Does ANYONE have a pic in that color?? :)
