Bridesmaids and the shower question

ok ladies here's one. my MOH and I were discussing my shower a bit the other night. its taking place in my home town in rochester - her question was ....if some of the BM's aren't able to make it ...do they still contribute?
hmmmm i was puzzled . my BM's are from all over the country so I wasn't sure.

any thoughts or experiences

Well unfortuetly for me most of my bridal party is out of state. My best friend is in NC, my cousin in PA, my othetr cousin is in the Army. for my shower only my FH 2 cosuins (in my BP), my one friend and sister were there. Yes i have 7 BM. anyway my mom never asked them to contribute even though some offered she didnt want to take only fromt he girls comming and didnt want to call the ones who werent and ask for money. Granted I only had like 40 people invited and not all came so it wasent much. I think it depends on the situatuon really.
