bridesmaids backyard BBQ

hey, is anyone having a bridesmaids luncheon? i was thinking of having one and giving them their gifts then since i'm getting them jewelry and i dont want to wait until the RD in case they go out and buy their own . Is it cheesy to do a kinda casual one in my backyard, like a BBQ ?? It's in the summer so i figured it would be nice if i make it special

I like that idea...not 'cheesy' at all...a nice casual time with the girls..and it is a good time to give them their jewelry

Sounds like a great idea! It's fun to just hang out with the girls and chill.

I'm doing a 'tea party' in my backyard, I will also be giving my girls their presents. I thought it would be a nice time to just relax and have a nice time.

i like that idea too- definitely not cheesy- IMO informal does not mean cheesy AT ALL!!

Last summer before we got married we had a Bridal Party BBQ. Everyone had a great time. They loved the idea.

I am doing one. I am having it on Friday the day before the wedding in the afternoon in my backyard. I will probably just have it catered since it will only be six of us. My rehearsal dinner is Thursday night but I wanted to do something for just my girls. I think it's a nice idea.

I think it's a great idea!!! Not cheesy at all!! I was actually thinking of doing something like that now to get them all together and acquainted with one another.
