Ok, originally I was SET on doing purple and blue for my wedding.... but I was planning on doing every other girl in blue then purple then blue....etc. Please, be honest, would taht look dumb? I have the colors and pictures posted in my album... Maybe I should do my MOHs both in one color, the bridemaids in another...?? Just seems that is what everyone else does....Please help! I still like the idea...but seeing it in real life may change my ideas. I'm lost and confused... We're going dress shopping soon...and I want to be SET with how many of each color I will get... Hmmmm....

Re: Bridesmaids color pattern
I am doing differnt colors for my girls but, they are just different shades. I think MOHs in one color and BMs in the other. HTH

Re: Bridesmaids color pattern
i think the colors are similar enough where it could work but it depends on how many girls you have.
if you have a large bridal party where you'd be able to tell it was intentional that you are alternating, then it can look nice. if you only have 5 girls and 3 would be in one color and 2 in the other, many people will think you have mohs in one color and bms in the other just because it's common.

Re: Bridesmaids color pattern
I was originally going for a liiiitle bit darker blue...but I decided against it...will clash with the flowers LOL. But, yes, I do have a LARGE bridal party... 2 maid of honors, 4 bridesmaids, 3 juniour bridemaids and 2 flowergirls... So, it's a go then...?? Should I jump on it? LOL...
Ya see...we know soo many people getting married next year, and I'm trying to just 'stay ouside the box', but I still want tradational...OY!

i think you should do it because it makes you happy, but with 2 MOH and 4 BMs it might lead people to think that you are just doing MOH and BM splits. is there a third color you could alternate as well? like a pale pink?

Re: Bridesmaids color pattern
I think its a nice idea...I would however have them try on dresses in those shades and hhave them stand next to each other to see what you think...I like having different shades of the same color, but i wonder how two different colors will be...id def have them stand together to see!

Re: Bridesmaids color pattern
Sorry I didn't clarify that... the 2 MOHs will be in a slightly different style dress...haven't found one I like for them yet though... but it has to be from Alfred Angelo b/c of the colors... Plus, they will have different jewlery... Lol

Re: Bridesmaids color pattern
Do you just have the 2 colors that you want? Cause you could, if it looks right, have each part of the BP in different shades. MOH, BM, JBM and then the FG.

Re: Bridesmaids color pattern
I think MOH's in one color and BM'd in another. It creates variety and it lets the MOH stand out which is important.

Re: Bridesmaids color pattern
That's funny... I was just talking about all this with my fiace... he thinks I should stick to my origianl plan of every other girl...yadda yadda and then have my 2 MOHs in different styles AND go a little darker... it'll help make them more bold. So...that works fro me. Either way..things always change when plannnig a wedding ... soo...once the final is up I'll keep everyone posted. THANKS again!
