easier for you.... don't let a person like that bother you.... it just shows they aren't a true friend !!!

Re: Bridesmaids Drama
ugh i am having BM drama too...who knew? these girls are supposed to be your friends and make things easy and instead they are making our lives harder. if she wants to be a child like that then let her. if she felt there was a problem then she shoulda called you first to make an attempt to fix it

Re: Bridesmaids Drama
I dont know the background of this story so I cant say if they are being unreasonable or not but to cancel your bm dress order is a biggg deal. They must be really upset about something OR they really never wanted to be in it in the first place. Did they ever talk to you about why they are so upset and didnt want to be in your bridal party anymore?

What kind of 'communication' was she expecting? Wedding-specific stuff? General girl-chat? If the former, she's in the wrong. If the latter, maybe you haven't been talking to your friends about them enough. I wouldn't really know either way, but if someone wants to take herself out, NEVER argue her back in.

Re: Bridesmaids Drama
my mother told me when I first got engaged that Weddings & Funerals always bring out the worst in people, so don't be surprised. lol. And I've seen it!!
Sorry your BM got a little psycho on you. I hope it works out.

Ok, not only did I have engagement party drama earlier, now I have BM drama.
One of my BM called me to tell me that another one of my BM called her and told her she went to Bridal Reflections and canceled her dress order.
She thought that I wasn't 'communicating enough with her'??????
Are you kidding me? I've heard of this bridezilla stuff, but never thought it would happen to me.
OMG
OMG that is crazy. When is this BM planning on telling you that she did that? You'd think she'd speak to you about whatever issues she was having. Good luck. Like others have said, if this BM is going to be a problem for her, then good riddance to her!

I agree less stress on your wedding day. How selfish is she? She is trying to make your wedding planning which is supposed to be a happy moment in your life all about her and her needs I wouldn't argue her back in either.

That's just petty and immature. Good, now it's one less person you have to pay for Really, why can't BMs understand that there are other things going on and if you don't speak to them 74719 times a week, its OK

Re: Bridesmaids Drama
My friend had a similar situation where the girl felt she wasn't getting enough attention during this process and dropped out of her wedding. I told my friend the same thing I am going to tell you ... Um its not about her its about you . If she dropped out for that reason it could be that some people are just needy and immature , you don't need the stress . Better off now, then right before your wedding.

suc ks for her...now she wont be in the wedding lol. i'd give a call & play the nice guy though, just so she can feel like a complete IDIOT. call & say 'umm...bridal reflections called me & told me how u cancelled ur dress order..do u want to tell me whats going on?' be sweet as pie, let her yell or do whatever she's going to do, and leave it at that. totally stinks..i'm sorry unfortunately weddings bring out the best & the worst...and those that have the worst come out, they just WONT get it untill it's their day..

Re: Bridesmaids Drama
Trust me she did you a favor, this is long but it gets to a point. Its better then realizing later on after shes been in some pictures. Thankfully with my situation....she wasnt in my video for more than 30 seconds. Later on after everything is done people start to talk and your eyes start to open. My other bridemaids were sure to tell me after everything was said and done...this one BM jipped my SIL by transfering not half but everything on her Macys card from the registry and never gave her money so now I know that all of my lenox butterfly collection came from JUST the other 4bms....my SIL of course doesnt care but its just the point. This bm went away for two weeks and left my rehearsal dinner mad early to go see a house?..... Even after I had to schedual my rehearsal around her in the first place because she after taking two weeks off for a vacation couldnt 'afford' to take off the full day at work....and she said ' I would like to be able to give you a gift' lol I would rather of not received a gift after all the trouble I had to go through to rearrange the pastors schedual just for HER. In the end I really dont think she realized how rude she was being and how controlling she was with my other bms and I. She would call me up to complain about what my other bms 'werent'doing..and how no body checked with her about my shower date..she made it all about her .....My BP was amazing and still is. Ugh the list goes on... My point here is that QUALITY is SOOOOO much better than QUANITY. You lost one but it wont effect the other girls and your day! Remember girls to choose wisely......After my wedding was over I tried to get over all of this...and push it aside. Than this bm commented on my wedding saying it 'was a little hot' thats all she said. Her comment onmy wedding video was ridiculous and it most surely wasnt heartfelt. So please dont worry about this girl!!! xoxo
Some people must have things all about them all of the time and its a curse...because inless you put people ahead of you or give to others...your life will never be truelly fufilled.

Re: Bridesmaids Drama
If she was having an issue with communicating with you about the dress maybe she could have asked you to go with her to look at it? Or to go for suggestions?
Maybe I'm just paranoid about people I think are my friends... but I would be thinking she might have been looking for a way out and just did.

Re: Bridesmaids Drama
OMG...you have no idea!!!
I have 3 MOHs and 4 BMs.
One of my MOH planned most of my bridal shower and apparently told everyone what they needed to do rather than planning it as a group.
When we ordered the dresses one MOH and one BM came with me to pick them out. Then there were complaints about straps, etc. Well, if you wanted to have input then you should have come! Then, 3 of the BMs took their sweet time calling in their measurements...which delayed the dresses being ordered. (They just came in last week...which is fine since mine is not in yet).
One of the MOHs and one of the Bridesmaids picked up their dresses and are getting them altered elsewhere. I sent an e-mail and text to the remaining ones if they all wanted to go for their fittings Saturday...and all but one (the last one to call in her measurements) responded to me that day. The other one took 3 days to respond.
Then on my way to look at rehearsal dinner places last Friday (which we are not even having now)...I called one of my MOHs that I have known since I was 4 (and was my only MOH at my first wedding). I ask her what she thinks of the 2 colors together (MOH and MB dresses are diff colors). She says 'not something I would have picked'. Not sure why I asked her because she could not put together a matching bra and panty set if they were on the hanger together (she has zero fashion sense). Then she goes on about not remembering making us dye the shoes to match the dress at her wedding (which is retarded because 1) I still have them (they were dyables) and I dyed them black after 2) why would we get white dyables to wear with a burgandy and dress and not dye them 3) even then she didn't know you had to dye them to match her mom, me, and the BMs had to tell her and 4) NO FASHION SENSE!!!! Then to top it off she says 'I don't know why you even need another wedding just because your FH was never married. I wouldn't have had one'. To which I replied 'glad I am not you then!!!' She is probably mad at me because I don't want the bridal party to wear their hair all the way up and I want them to wear open toe shoes...both of which she has an issue with (and is the only one with the issue). Too F*in bad!!! It's my wedding. I am not even wearing my hair up. Why would a MOH or BM??? I think it's too much!!! And now my Rabbi doesn't want her signing the ketubah (and doesn't understand why I didn't kick her out of the bridal party). He knows her...and married her and her husband. She was a bridezilla....UGH!
Calgon take me VERY FAR AWAY!!!

Re: Bridesmaids Drama
i think all of these bridesmaids dramas have a common theme. it seems like these girls all feel inconvenienced and are putting themselves before the bride and the wedding. it's sad, my fmil told me that by the time the wedding is over, i will have lost at least one friend who i thought was my true friend but proved otherwise when it came to the wedding. whether it be bm drama or someone not showing up, it's inevitable. we all need to just move forward and focus on OUR day and get rid of these drama queens.

It's sad but, my mom said the same thing to me when I started planning. One down and five months to go
