My wedding colors are black, white and pink. I picked out my bm's dress (which are black) and my maid and matron of honor have a hot pink sash (so they stand out) and as of now I pick white sashes for the rest of my bm's. Now one of my bm's said 'are you sure you want to do the white bc it may take away from you?' Now she has me thinking about it and I think she may be right but I don't know. Do you think I should keep the white sash or change it to a light pink? TIA

While I don't really think the white sashes would take away from you, I think I would like the light pink idea!

I think if you do light pink that its too many colors going on. I don't think white is bad.

I don't think a awhite sash can take away from the bride's dress but I still like the idea of a light pink sash.

A white sash is not going to take away from you. I was a BM for my BFF 5 years ago, and our dresses had a white sash. It was completely fine.

Re: Bridesmaids Dress
i dont think white would take away from you...my only thought is that the whites might not match. when i ordered my dress i noticed how many different variations of white are actually out there...and then the fabric also makes the color shades vary. id just make sure you get a white that is close enough to your dress that it doesnt look funny

Re: Bridesmaids Dress
My BMs had sashes that matched the color of my dress perfectly. As long as your dress is pure white i actually think it will look pretty. Light pink might add to many colors to the wedding. But it depends. My flowers had several different pinks. If your going to do that anyhow then I think light pink would be nice.

Re: Bridesmaids Dress
my only concern is that the white would clash with your shade of white.

Re: Bridesmaids Dress
Not sure if you thought of this...but maybe the girls wear a black sash? Don't know how that would look since I don't know how the dresses look, but they would be all black and then the MOH with a colored sash.

Re: Bridesmaids Dress
Thank you all so much. I thought about a black sash but I tihnk it maybe to dark for a spring wedding. Since it is spring that's y I wanted to do a colored sash. I'm going to go to the bridal store to see what colors the sash comes in. Thanks again

Re: Bridesmaids Dress
hmmmm Well I don't think the white sash will take away from you. However IMO I wouldn't choose it....I personally just don't want anyone wearing a hint of white except me...but I am selfish I would do plain black dress for the BM and the pink sash for MOH

Re: Bridesmaids Dress
I went to the bridal store yesterday and I hated the light pink and didn't want the white so now all the girls will have fuchsia sashes and I love it!
