I was all ready to order bridesmaids dresses, but this weekend me sister & I found another dress possibility.
I am attaching pictures of the dresses and I need some opinions on what you think I should do.
I included my dress so you can see everything together.
The blue & brown chiffon dress is the Bari Jay dress that I originally picked. My sister (MOH) will be in blue & the bridesmaids in the brown.
The last picture is a Lazaro dress that we found on Saturday. My sister (MOH) will have the colors shown, ivory top & brown bottom. The bridesmaids will have the top & bottom in brown.
Personally, I like the Bari Jay dress better. Have the BMs vote on it- they'll be the ones wearing the dresses.

I've tried on Victoriana a couple of times actually and it's a pretty dramatic & beautiful dress. That being said, I think you should go with your original BP dresses. The new one might take away from the drama of your own wedding gown!
It's a very pretty choice, but I like the originals better. How you asked any of your BP what they think?

ooo tough choice they are both very pretty. i really love the lazaro dress...but i agree with the PP to let the bridesmaids decide since they will be wearing them.

i think it also depends what vision you have. the bari jay (to me) is more flowy, romantic. the lazaro is more structured and 'classy'
i think i am going for the more flowy romantic look (personally), but it depends your vision.
with your dress, i like teh lazaro better...but it also depends your BMs body types....if they vary in size, i think the bari jay might look better overall.

No, i have not asked the BP because they are very opinionated & they all over power me. They are my cousins & I love them but its so true. When my mom gets back from vacation I am going to take her to see the dress & then my mom, my sister & I will make a decision. The other thing is that the Lazaro dress is $360. I personally think that's a lot of money to spend.

Personally, I like the Lazaro much better, but not for $360. I'm just not a fan of the empire waisted dresses, they look like maternity dresses to me. I had my girls try on a few maternity dresses, and while they looked ok on everyone, they just didn't flatter like a few other dresses.

Christine I like the Lazaro dress too however for $360 its really not that special. Go with your original choice! I dont think the new one takes anything away from your dress at all. You are wearing a bridal gown and will obviously be the center of attention. I can't understand why some people are so worried that their bridesmaid will outshine them. I mean unless you are getting married in a very plain white dress and you picked out extravagent BM dresses then I can see that happening but if you are wearing a big ball gown i think people will know who's the boss.

I really like the lazaro one but it might be not as flattering, depending on the shapes of the girls.... the bari jay is very pretty also. I think the lazaro matches your dress better.

I really love the Bari Jay dresses...and I also think that $360 is A LOT to pay for that dress...its a nice dress, but not for that much money
