Bridesmaids Dresses

Today I went to Bridal Reflections in Masspequa to look at bridesmaids dresses with my MOH. We found 5 dresses that we really liked but I am worried that the are too expensive for the girls. Also the designers do not make jackets that we can buy so we would have to order fabric from them and have the store make them for us which would add to the cost. Does anyone have any suggestions of where I could go to look at dresses that are less expensive than Bridal Reflections other than David's Bridal? TIA

just out of curiosity, why do you not want David's Bridal? I only ask because I am planning on using that for my girls, should I not?

I have heard negative things about them from people about alterations and them screwing up people's orders. I may go to them however if I can't find anything less expensive.

If you use DB, just go elsewhere for alterations

The Wedding Plaza in Floral Park was nice-even though we didn't order through them. My girls are in Liz Fields, you should check out her website- all her dresses come with shawls!

beautiful bride in lynbrook! I havent had any problems and my MOH used them for her wedding and now im using them for mine!

I just started the order with Bridal Elegance in Huntington. They were awesome and the price of the dress was less than I expected. So far so good! I originally saw a dress at Bridal Reflections in Massapequa and they were pricy, but I was not in love. Bridal Elegance carries Watters and Watters bridesmaid dresses and I was done!!

Yeah, I was going to say this!

I had my girls and my dress from The Wedding Plaza and I would say the dresses are not as expensive BUT if you are worried about alterations, the alterations department was a NIGHTMARE!!!! I was also a bridesmaid in a wedding who got there dress here and same thing. The woman just keeps saying 'I'm doing this for 20 years, I know what's best' but she really doesn't. It was a complete NIGHTMARE!

I have gotten about 3 dresses from David's Bridal and my alterations have always comes out PERFECT. They listen and do what you need. They are also quick with ordering. The one in Westbury is the one that I use (in the Source Mall) and never had a problem.

try rk bridal in the city...thats where i took my girls and we went in jauary and their gowns came in on friday and i was so happy with them...we did the no frills program

its when you buy the dress for the discounted price because you measure yourself and go somewhere else for alterations..the dress was $40 cheaper

i think it depends on the designers you are looking at.

My girls got diff designers, but some (Jasmine & Alfred Angelo) were under $150 but one BM got a Bill Levkoff that was $195

Bill Levkoff was one of th designers. I don't want them to have to spend more than $200 including alterations. Is this possible or are bridesmaids dresses really expensive?

For my wedding dress, I called around and the best prices were at Alexandra boutique in forest hills. What I did was got a price from them then called a place closer to me and told them that price. They beat it!

I did the same for BM and MOH dresses but I actually ended up at Davids bridal for them.
Everything is negotiable. I dont think Bridal reflections does that though.
Try the wedding center too.
