Bridesmaids Dresses..where i can get them!

Ok , so im getting my girls together sometime in may...and i need your opinions on where i should go dress shopping for them...
we all live in NAssau...we willing to go to Suffolk..maybe Queens...:)...i really want to make sure that bridesmaid dresses are not too expensive!!!!

So i need ur opinions!

Seriously, I don't think this place gets talked about enough. I went to the Bridal Suite in Bayshore. I <3 them there. They have alot of dresses and their prices are reasonable. They're very helpful and to try on BM dresses you really don't need an appt. I've always made an appt but they've told me that I don't need one. I've made my girls try on a million dresses and the salesgirls there have never dissapeared on me or given me any kind of attitude. They're all very nice.

It's right on Route 27 in downtown Bayshore. It's in a stripmall with the YMCA Theatre and a BBQ restaurant called Smokin Al's.

the cost is not really a big deal but i dont want them to spend a lot of money for smth that they will wear only once...we are deff going to try find smth that girls could wear more than once....
well im keeping my fingers crossed!

sure no problem...when you go to rk bridal you will see each dress has a price tag, on the tag theres one price on the front and one on the back, the one on the front is if you buy it through the store normally and the back is the no frills.

You can go to the store, try the dresses and pick it out. Then on this big table there they have folders with each designers name, just go to the designer of your bm dress and take out 1 form. On there it will have that designers measurements to help you figure it out better, will show you the bust, hips, waist for each size. You fill out that form, you will write how many dresses you are ordering and what sizes. Put the delivery address, you can have it delivered to you. If a bm is out of state have it sent to her, one of my bm's has a 2nd home in jersey so we did that bc this way there was no tax on the dresses. You are going to have to put it all on 1 credit card, and that info goes on the form too...Then all you have to do is fax it to them or if you have all the info and are ready to order right then and there give it to them in the store.

The whole thing about no frills is that you dont get it altered there, you bring it to wherever you want after you receive the dress.

I actually had quite a different experience at this particular salon. My experience there was very negative and I will not be going back there or ordering from there. Basically they didn't want us to try anything on unless we were going to sign a contract and order with them that day. So I guess it depends. Definitely give this place a shot if you want! I would be interested to see if I was the only one who had this experience with this particular salon?

depends on what needs to be done...MY moh doesnt really have to do anything to her dress, just a tiny bit get it taken in by the bust so its not going to cost her much at all...So no way to say, some girls will need it taken in all around, have it hemmed and some other stuff so then it can cost more...Rk along with most bridal stores charge about $65 or a little more for BM alterations. My MOH is bringing it to a seamstress i know, but dry cleaners can do it for you too. For a bm dress its alot less so shouldn't be over $100 unless you get a ton of stuff

I'm not sure if you're willing to go to Queens (flushing/whitestone area) but this bridal shop near my house has a good selection and their prices include alterations which I thought was great.

I was in 2 weddings and both ordered Bill Levkoff dresses, I paid $225 total and that included any alterations. They also dye your shoes for free.
